Punk Virgil wants to give his friend Logan a makeover. Logan agrees. Virgil realises he's very, very gay for his best friend.
Based off this post: Consider: punk Virgil giving nerdy Logan a makeover and having an 'oh fuck I'm gay' moment because Logan looks so good but secretly he's always been in love with his dork of a friend
Warnings: none.
---------------------------------------
Logan always dressed the same: cute yet practical, the stereotypical nerd. Those smart shirts, sometimes with ties, dress pants or sometimes smart jeans, and always way too clean shoes. His hair almost always slicked back, and Virgil's convinced that he straightens it but has yet to get confirmation. As much as Virgil loves his friend's dress sense – which is only half a joke because when he goes around Logan's house and sees him in a casual hoodie with his hair slightly ruffled he does look adorable – he really want to give Logan a makeover. Now he just needs to convince Logan to agree.
"Lo?" he asks, giving his friend's cheek a gentle prod, distracting him from his studying.
They usually do their studying together, for exams and mocks, today though Logan had been struggling with their latest English Literature paper, so, Virgil was happy enough to help. Today they're at Virgil house though, in his dark bedroom full of band posters and black curtains and black bedsheets. Very punk and very Virgil.
Logan should look out of place in his smart, nerdy dress but he doesn't. He looks natural, in his element, sitting on Virgil's bed with his back against the headboard with his laptop on his lap.
They've been at the paper for a few hours now and, honestly, Virgil's bored.
"Yes?" Logan responds, saving his document and turning to his friend.
Virgil smiles a little, a bit devious, "would you ever let me give you a makeover?"
Logan's eyes immediately go wide, he can almost hear the gears turning in his brain.
Virgil's look is... unique. It's part of what drew Logan to him. Virgil, a loner, always sitting on his own. Perhaps it was due to Virgil more reserved, closed off nature or more so his dark, intimidating look. His outfits always ripped jeans, big boots, band tees or baggy shirts, accompanied with leather jackets and the occasional jewellery like his nose ring, earrings, or even chain necklaces. His bright purple hair always styled slightly out of his eyes to show his dark eye makeup – black eyeliner, maybe mascara, and his eyeshadow always changing colour to match his mood or outfit.
It drew Logan in honestly. And when he knew Virgil was a fellow queer person, they became fast friends despite their social differences. Virgil was secretly very smart, and Logan awkwardly charismatic. They fit together.
"Sure," Logan says finally, "I don't see why not."
He turns back to keep typing but Virgil won't let him, stealing the laptop from him and putting it on his desk.
"Let me give you a makeover!"
Logan just looks at him.
"Pretty please!"
"...fine."
Virgil does a little fist pump before rushing towards his wardrobe, sifting through his dark clothes, trying to work out what would look alright on his lankier friend. Then he can decide on the makeup to fit the outfit.
"I'm going to regret this, aren't I?" Logan says, but there's that soft humour in his voice that Virgil's learned to listen for.
"Nope," Virgil responds, throwing some clothing in Logan's direction, "I'm going to make you look so fucking good... not that you, you know, you don't look good already, I mean, I like your style but..."
