In all my mortal years of existence, nothing could have prepared me for the "Training" G-man provided. He taught me everything, and I mean everything. I could now warp reality, phase between dimensions and multiverse at will, time travel. Anything and everything desired by humanity was now within my reach.

And It scares me.

I still didn't fully grasp the entire scope of my new ablities, as a substantial amount of them were suppressed by G-man to not overwhelm my "fragile" human mind. To be honest? I'm fine with that. The past few years in this empty void changed me, I knew I wasn't the same person anymore. That much power, in the hands of a single man, it corrupts.

G-man:"Congratulations, Mr. L/N, you have mastered all the lessons I have taught you! I believe you are well equipped to deal with your assignment."

Y/N:"Really? After literal months in this place, you finally think I'm ready?"

I wasn't joking around, I really did spend months, or what seemed like it anyway, in that void. Now I wasn't held there against my will, I chose to stay for that long, cause well? I was nervous. I was unsure whether or not I could complete my job, frightened of people like emo goth bitch( who's real name is Raven BTW) who could end me in less than a second.

I was severely unequipped to handle the situation I was thrown into, so I wanted to make the most of my time preparing myself to deal with skirmishes like that in the future. However, that got boring quicker than I thought. And I may have done some, unethical, things while trying to keep myself occupied.

But I'm getting off track. I was finally done, all my preparation was complete!

G-man:"Mr. L/N, I can say with upmost confidence that you are more than ready to proceed with your task. Now that I have held up my end of our little... Deal. It is time to hold up yours! This will be the last time we see each other for quite a while, I will surely miss your... unique perspective on things."

Y/N:"Hey, um, thanks G-man, that means a lot."

Over our many hours together, me and G-man kinda grew a little close...

...

Not that close!

What I meant was that he sort of became like a college roommate, we didn't always get along, but we helped each other out when we needed to. I really was going to miss him. Hopefully he gives like a midterm review, as he was the only one I could trust of my real origins.

Anywho, it was time to return to the "real" world and get revenge on Raven for cutting off my hand. Yep, still haven't gotten over it. She was going to pay.

With great ease, I summoned a gate way between the current realm I was in and Remnant. Seriously, I just waved my hand and it appeared outta nowhere! These higher-dimensional powers were really convenient. As I looked back at my mentor for what was convinced to me to be the millionth time, I thought back on my past, and the actions that all led to this.

Y/N:"So long G-man! I appreciate what you've done. Thank you, I mean it."

G-man:" Nonsense, Y/N L/N, the pleasure was all mine! Good luck on your errand, and please, try not to fail. It wouldn't do you any good."

With one step through the unstable time vortex, I paused. That was the first time G-man has ever said my first name. Strange.

I glanced back, gave a smile, and headed back to the physical plane. I wonder how my body's doing?

Vernal POV

When Raven first brought back that weird businessman, I was completely fine with it. We here at the Branwen clan have taken hostages for ransom before, and even though the guy didn't look expensive, we may be able to pawn him off for something useful.
