Is it really that time, again? (G-man male reader x RWBY)

Chapter 14: The Bar

(Y/N POV)

Let's recap, shall we? During my first day on the job, I injured one of my students,  then got called by my evil associates, had my secret base found, and signed a deal with the devil. 

I hate Tuesdays.

I was able to convince Salem that I was sent by the gods to prepare Remnant for their return, That I was sent to unite humanity under one banner and usher in a new age of peace and prosperity that would be suitable for deities such as the brothers. Turns out she wanted to annihilate humanity, or at least hinder it to the point it would be stuck in limbo, a delicate balance of extinction and expansion.

Of course she wouldn't tell me that, but I could figure it out. With my heightened perception of the world, I could basically tell if someone was lying or not, just form the tone of their voice and eye movements.

But I knew I had to get on the good side of Salem if I wanted to ensure that she wouldn't consider me a threat, so in exchange for immunity, I promised to help her out with her lackeys' tasks here and there. It wasn't the best deal, and i could have turned the situation a lot more in my favor, but I needed the experience, and honestly taking the easy route was boring. 

So, I escaped the white fang base after talking with a false queen and her ever so loyal subjects. The whole event put a damper on my day, and I desperately wanted to forget it ever happened. As we walked out of the hideout, I saw that Raven was most likely thinking the same thing. We both needed a good time, so why not shoot my shot?

Y/N:"Hey, now that whole mess is covered, at least for a little while, you wanna go get some drinks?"

Raven turned her head in my direction, cheeks a deep shade of pink and eyes unfocused.

Raven:"Uhh, sure? wh- where too?"

Y/N:" I found this cool place called Juniors a while back, before I went to teach at beacon. Good drinks, okay food, terrible music but I guess that is to be expected. Funny enough, was under repairs when I visited, apparently some girl tore it up looking for someone, but it should be in better condition. Come on, I'll show you the way."

Raven:"Is this, a, date?"

Y/N:"It can be, do you want it to be?"

Raven said nothing and motioned me to lead the way. 

(Timeskip)

So there I was, surrounded by men in black suits in a partially repaired bar. Raven drew her sword and stood in front of me in a protective stance.

Y/N:"What do you mean We can't be here?! I was here just last week!"

Raven and I were able to enter the club just fine, at first, but when we made our way to the bar, the head honcho himself, Junior, told us to leave. 

Junior:"Its not because of you, calm down or I'll throw you out as well. Its your girlfriend."

Y/N:"And what, pray tell, is wrong with her, huh?"

Junior:"Remember when the club was destroyed, the person who did it was looking for her. I really don't want to explain to me insurance company why I need another coverage."

Y/N:"How much do you want. Just tell me..."

Junior:"800,000"

I sighed. a high price, for someone other than me. I reached in my coat pocket and pulled out a black card with silver trimmings. I held it against my scroll, syncing them together, and handed the card to Junior.

Y/N:"Take that to the bank, pull out the amount, then destroy the card. No more, no less, and don't even think of keeping it, I'll know if you do.

Junior:"Noted, alright, your girl can stay."

Junior handed the card to one of his security guards. He then told his goons we could be trusted and allowed us to order. Raven and I got our beverages, and  then sat down a a secluded booth near the back. 

Raven:"Y/N, I think you should tone it down a bit."

Y/N:"What do you mean?"

Raven:"That's your 12th shot and your 11th glass of vodka. The fact your are still even alive right now is a miracle."

I looked around, and found myself surrounded with over a dozen bottles, some full, others empty. I guess I got carried away.

Y/N:"Don't worry, I can even get a buzz form anything, I'm just drinking to have something.

???:"Is that so?"

New voices, New threats, possible engagement imminent.

I turned my head and what appeared before me were to young women, twins, if anything to go by. Both had the same hair style, eye color, just different color dresses. 

Red twin:"Room for 2 more?"

Y/N:"Sure, knock yourself out."

As the twins sat next to me, Raven gave me a look. Well, she always gave me faces of disappointment, but this time it looked like she wanted to rip my spine out of by body and hang me with it. I gave her a wink, hoping she got the signal that I had a plan. She still didn't look too pleased.

Y/N: "So, may I ask your names?"

(Timeskip Again)

Raven and I left the club, one of us happy, and the other, not so much. See, the both of us got into a little trouble while we were in there.

Raven:"I can't believe you got in a drinking contest with two girls, won said drinking contest, and then proceeded to cause complete chaos for an hour."

Y/N:"I regret nothing."

Raven:"I know you do, that's why I'm so disappointed."

Y/N:"Oh come on, It wasn't that bad! You had some fun too! Don't think I didn't see that smile on you face when we launched an assault together on Juniors guards? You enjoyed yourself, and honestly? That's what I wanted most out of tonight."

Once again, Raven blushed heavily. 

Y/N:"Alright, lets go home. I got an early day tomorrow, classes and all that."

Raven:"Fine, whats planned for me tomorrow then, got any loose aned that need taken care of?

Y/N:"You could say that. One of Roman's targets, a guys named Tuskon, is planning on skipping town. Roman wants us to kill him, but I have a different plan. either kidnap him or convince him to work with  us for protection.

Raven:" Seems simple enough, where do I find him?"

Y/N:"I'll give you the briefing later, I'm tired, and the next day is gonna suck for me."

Suddenly, voices grew louder right behind me, I turned around and saw Team RWBY, walking towards me.

Yang:"You guys are gonna love it! This place has the bes-, Wha... Mom?"

The group of teens stood still, and Yang and Ruby both shocked, for some reason.

Y/N:"Wait,  Mom? Raven are you a..."

I turned around, only to find a red portal and an absent partner.

Yang:"Mr L/N, What are you doing with her?"

I looked at the spot were the now disappeared portal once stood, and then to team RWBY, and then back.

Y/N:"I have no fucking idea."
