Tyler looked at the knife and smiled in amazement. "5 inch blade." Arris said. Alexa gasped and looked around for any drones or APMs passing by. "It’s fine Alexa, we are on the 74th floor, drones don’t fly this high." Alexa's tablet started ringing. "Hold on, I have to take this." "OK." Both guys said. Tyler checked on his mom and whispered to Arris, "Is this against regulation?" "Just about... check if it fits in your pocket." Tyler clipped it in his pocket and walked around and came back. "Yeah, it’s snug. But isn't it against regulation to have a knife?" Tyler asked again. "Hey man, don't worry about it... the screeners can't pick it up. You're fine. And plus, the way things are going in the colony... you'll probably need it." "What do you mean?" Tyler asked. Arris leaned towards him and whispered angrily, "My dad... got fired from his job." "Dang man, sorry to hear that. Doesn't he fix police gear?" "Used to, he got fired because he refused to do it. The last thing he said over there was that he was working for a bad cause." Arris sat back in his chair and looked at the ceiling. He rubbed his hands down on his face, "Yeah... I don't know what we are going to do now." Arris looked at Alexa and turned back around. "The damn Government is so stupid!" "SHH!" Tyler screamed. Alexa turned around and smiled, nodding her head in agreement. "You don’t know who Alexa might be talking to. You know she has a job working for the Colony." "Sorry" Arris said embarrassingly. "Sorry guys." Alexa came back. "That was a long talk... so what's up?" She asked. "Just having a great birthday." His mom turned and smiled. Tyler smiled back. "Hey guys do you want to go outside?" "Yeah, why not?" They all agreed and stood on the balcony. Tyler put in a code on the rail and the balcony started moving down. "It's a bit cold today." Alexa said. Arris saw this as a good opportunity. "Here, uh do you want my coat?" "Oh no, I'm fine. Thank you though." She smiled. She turned back around. Arris looked at her and saw her shiver. Tyler danced his eyebrows as if giving a go-ahead. When they got to the ground the rails opened up for them and when they walked out, Arris put his coat on Alexa. He looked at her. "Better?" Alexa smiled and blushed. "Better." All of them started talking about school and plans for summer, or as the colony says, warm-up. Tyler's tablet started ringing, but a different tone signaling a long-distance call. He looked at the number, and was startle by the first three digits. The rest of the number were zeros. "Hm." "What?" Alexa asked. "This call, this call, is not coming from a connection from either the Colony or the NRF." Alexa widened her eyes, "Let me see that." She looked at the number and said "Answer at your own risk, that's very unusual." Tyler stepped away and answered it. He put it up to his ear. "Thank God you answered. We are moving the date of appearance from March 4th to April 17th. The connections got blocked by the NRF. Make sure to contact 94-56 and let him know. Make no mistake, they will not pass this regulation. We will do everything in our power to stop it. If it means blocking roads... we will do so. Oh! And one more thing, be prepared to fight. You don't know what's up their sleeve. Remember it's at the Colony of Beijing's Capital. Be there." The man talked so fast that Tyler couldn’t get a single word out. Arris and Alexa looked at him. "I am so confused." "What happened?" Alexa asked. "Some man called, he was talking about some sort of appearance at the capital. I think he said the date got moved to April 17th." "That’s in roughly two months..." Arris said. "I know. What do you think it means?" Tyler looked confused. "He also mentioned something about contacting someone... he gave me the number 94-56." Alexa looked at her watch. "Guys, sorry but I have to go. Tyler, keep an eye out. Maybe it was the wrong number." Tyler nodded his head and Arris said bye. "Tyler, I don’t know what that was about but I'm going to go home. We have school tomorrow." "Alright, see you brother." Tyler went home confused and dazed. "What the hell...”
