Tyler got home and layed on his bed to rest. His mind was going crazy, he couldn’t think. He felt like an outsider. He didn’t think he belonged on earth anymore. He thought about what he was going to do next. He was either going to stay safe, but paranoid on one side of the hill, or take the risk and jump over the sharp rocks to the other, and do something about it. He chose staying where he was, but his curiosity got the best of him. He fell asleep, exhausted. He woke up at 3:00 AM, starved. He forgot to eat dinner. He got up from his bed and got his tablet. He put his hand to his head and rubbed his eyes. His mind was refreshed, but began overflowing with fear. He called back the number that dropped the unusual call. It rang and rang and rang. No answer. He thought. He called again. This time, someone answered. It was the same man. “Hello?” Tyler almost died laughing. “Where are you?” Tyler asked. “Heading to the Colony of Beijing from America… may I ask who is calling?” The man asked. “Oh, I’m just returning your call. This is Tyler, who are you.’’ Tyler said. A paused occurred. “You called me about protests.” Tyler said. “Are you a Colonist?” The man asked. “Yes, I’m in the city.” Tyler answered. “Where exactly is America? I’ve heard of it, in school, but that’s about it. ” Tyler wondered and asked. “I’m surprised they even mentioned America. It’s halfway around the world, Tyler. By the way, my name is Raze.” Raze introduced himself. “Oh, cool name. So about the protests, what exactly is going to happen?” Tyler asked. “Just play back the audio from our last conversation, nothing much has changed. I’ll be there.” Raze said. “Wait, but why call me?” Tyler asked. The connection started getting worse. “Yo-u are the………… one – th-at can change things. Change them.” Raze said. The connection rammed, and the call ended. Tyler was left to think for himself, for once. That’s all he needed. He researched any reports of student disappearances on his tablet. He found nothing, he kept clicking next page. No good. He came to the last page. Click. There it was. Everything he needed. He clicked on the link that read, Students disappear from Colonial schools: 2054, the screen filled with at least 200 names of students. Tyler was flabbergasted. Speechless. Names like Darix, Flora, Axis, were everywhere. Tyler sobbed. He called Finnick and left a message. “Hey Finnick, you were right, school is a scam, I’m going to be protesting at the Capital on the 17th… if you want to join me. There are supposed to be many people, I really don’t know. I’ll talk to you later, hopefully. Tyler.” Tyler layed back in his bed and sobbed.” His tablet rang. It was Finnick. “Tyler! I can’t go, I’m all over the place trying to get away from these damn drones. I’m in the APM heading towards the coast. There are no other people on the transport with me. There are three drones just staring at me. I don’t know what to do! I’m taking a video of what’s happening and sending it to you, OK? Holy shit!” Gunfire. Tyler didn’t even say bye. He slumped in his bed and searched one last thing before he went to bed. America. He found nothing, but skipped to the last page, which was search results page three… there was a video. He clicked on it and watched it.
