Chapter 14

Tyler took to the stage, and the sun came out. "My name is Tyler, and I am a resister." Protesters cheered and rooted on. "I am here today, to explain to you... our true history. And expose a few lies told by your own Governments." The crowd got silent and was eager to listen. "The world is different now, years after ravaging protests against a proposed one world government, and monetary system. What is told to us is that, the protests and protesters destroyed the world. That is simply the biggest lie of them all. There was a country called America. It was a free, thriving country. Where protests started. Free people demanded freedom, and they thought that this new global Government would strip them of their rights. They weren't wrong, and as Colonists, we have no power over the Colony or the NRF. So we took up arms in America." Tyler saw Raze nodding his head and smiling. The resisters in the back were facing the Colony's army, ready to fire just in case. "We didn't know what happened to our police, or military. Things became violent afterwards. Chinese soldiers began landing on beaches in the West Coast. Many Americans took up arms to fight, but did little damage. The remaining patriots are rumored to still be fighting a Red Dawn sort of war. They are holding the Colony's soldiers from crossing the Mississippi River. NRF troops pulled out a while ago, and we took back the East. We thought things would go back to normal, that we would win and take back America. But in around 2025, nukes were dropped starting from New York down to Dallas, and eventually all over the world. In 2032, everyone was required to be micro chipped. The new Government classified this as the "Artificial Intelligence Implant," or A11." Tyler saw the Army shift, and his voice became stronger. "That chip gave you what you needed to know, plus some perks for the Government. They could track you and find out what you were thinking and decide if you were a threat to them. That's why the Army is here... they think we are a threat." Everyone looked back at the Army. The army lifted their guns and got into fighting positions. "At ease, soldiers." Tyler chuckled and continued. "For all you guys in school... -" Tyler saw Arris in the crowd. He winked at him. "You do not need schooling. It's three hours of our waste and three hours of construction for the Colony. They are building "anti-terrorist" air craft, capable of eliminating any threats before they happen. Sound familiar? Those are for us people! For us!" Tyler shouted. "Those who wandered off out of school and disappeared, were tracked and killed by the Colony! That's why they tried avoiding the topic, and that's why there aren’t windows in school!" Tyler was shouting now, and tried to finish when someone had fired a shot. A single shot.
