'Seriously Ruel, you can't come over. Shawn will go crazy if he finds out that I'm dating you.' I plead into the phone.
'Well we need to tell him at some point, y/n.' Ruel moans.
'I know but Shawn is so overprotective ever since my ex.' I said, becoming quiet.
'I know baby but I'm not like him, at all.'
'I know you're not baby, but you seriously can't tell how Shawn is going to react to certain situations.' I explain.
'I'm coming over, we need to tell Shawn.' He says bluntly and hangs up the phone before I can disagree with his idea.
I waited on the couch and watched Stranger Things when Shawn walked into our living room.
'Hey y/n/n (your nickname)!' He beamed.
'Hi.' I said awkwardly and scratched the back of my head.
'Is something up?' He asked concerned. 'Your normally really talkative.' He added.
'No nothing's up, I'm all good. I'm just really into Stranger Things.' I nervously laughed.
He hesitantly sat down next to me on the couch, giving me a suspicious look.
He stared at me throughout the time I was watching Stranger Things and I smiled and attempted to look as if I was really interested in the tv show.
The doorbell rang.
'I've got it.' Shawn said, standing up and making his way to the door.
'No, no. I've got the door. You watch tv.' I said, knowing that Ruel was at the door.
'What's wrong?' Shawn asked firmly, concern lacing his voice.
'Nothing, I'm just answering the door!' I said back forcefully.
I walked over to the door and checked behind me for Shawn before I opened the door.
'Hey baby!' Ruel smiled.
'Shhh!' I said, quietly.
'Oh.' Ruel said obviously disappointed.
I slowly guided Ruel into my house desperately trying to avoid Shawn.
'Hey, hey. You're Ruel right? Haven't I met you before?' Shawn asked.
'Yeah, we've met before.' Ruel said, becoming visibly nervous.
'Not to be rude, why are you in our house?' Shawn questioned.
'I uh- um.' Ruel stuttered.
'We're partners for a science project.' I said quickly, trying to distract Shawn.
'You're lying to me y/n. You go to an all girls school. Do you think I'm stupid?' Shawn shouted.
'Oh no-' Ruel began.
'What was that?' Shawn said, walking closer to Ruel.
'Look Shawn leave Ruel alone!' I shouted.
'Are you two dating or some shit?' Shawn sneered, making a disgusted face.
I couldn't find words so I just nodded in Shawn's direction.
'Get out!' Shawn screamed at Ruel.
'Shawn leave Ruel alone!' I hollered.
'No, y/n. I don't trust him, he reminds me of your ex and we all know how that ended up!' He shouted, becoming overprotective.
'Shawn you need to understand that Ruel makes me happy!' I yelled.
'y/n you said that about your ex! You don't listen to me and then you get your heart broken!' He screamed.
'I'm not going to break her hear-' Ruel began.
'Shut the fuck up!' Shawn shouted at Ruel.
'Shawn you need to realise that when you're not here and you're on tour, it's Ruel that listens to my problems, takes me out on little adventures, dances with me, sings with me and just makes me feel like the most special girl in the whole world!' I shout, tears beginning to fall.
I stormed off to my room, wiping the tears off of my face.
'y/n!' Ruel pleads beginning to follow me.
'Ruel stay here!' Shawn said firmly, making Ruel stop in his tracks.
'Do you love my sister?' Shawn asked, deadly seriously.
'Yes, I love her so much, I can't even put into words.' Ruel said sheepishly.
'You love me?' I ask, waking back down the stairs in my house after hearing Shawn and Ruel's conversation.
'Yeah, a lot.' He smiled, proudly.
I ran and jumped into his arms giving him a delicate peck on the lips.
'Alright, alright! I'm willing to accept your relationship as long as you don't do any of that lovey-dovey shit in my face!' Shawn laughs, causing my jaw to drop.
'Thank you!' I squeal, letting go of Ruel and tightly hugging Shawn.
'I appreciate it, thank you Shawn.' Ruel says genuinely.
'I can tell that your nothing like her ex but seriously if you hurt her, you better start running.' Shawn chuckles causing me to roll me eyes.
