I looked at Ruel and he took my hand in his, leading me down the stairs. We were about to tell my parents that I was pregnant. When we reached the bottom of the stairs, I began to breathe erratically
''You're going to be fine, they'll understand. I promise.'' Ruel stated, squeezing my hand even tighter than before, making me feel instantly safe.
''Thank you, baby.'' I replied.
We walked into the kitchen where my parents were and sheepishly smiled. We moved towards the table and then sat down.
''Are you two okay?'' My dad asked.
''We have something to tell you.'' I began. ''I-I-'' I stuttered.
''y/n's pregnant.'' Ruel said as calmly as possible.
''What?'' My parents screeched in unison.
''I cannot believe you two, you're so irresponsible!'' My mum added.
''The baby isn't Ruel's, I was raped.'' I said, shamefully.
''Oh my gosh, sweetheart, why didn't you tell us?'' My mum questioned.
''I didn't feel like I could, I felt trapped.'' I explained, tears slipping from my eyes.
''I'm going to be the baby's father.'' Ruel bravely stated.
''Really?'' My parents asked.
''Yeah, I really love your daughter and I love our baby even if it's not biologically mine.'' Ruel confessed, putting his arm around my shoulder.
''That's very mature of you Ruel, are you sure that you're ready for the responsibility?'' My dad queried.
''If I'm honest, I'm probably not ready but I'm willing to try for y/n and our baby.'' Ruel explained.
My dad didn't say anything back, instead he stood up shook Ruel's hand.
''Thank you, Ruel.'' My mum said, standing up and hugging both of us. ''I'm proud of you two.'' She said.
Me and Ruel smiled and went back to my room.
''You're definitely not naming our child.'' I giggled, playfully.
''Oh yeah, and why's that?'' He asked.
''What names do you have in mind?'' I questioned.
''Obviously Ruel junior.'' He exclaimed, making me chuckle.
''You've just proven my point perfectly.'' I smiled, making Ruel laugh.
TIME SKIP - EIGHT AND A HALF MONTHS
''Ouch, Ruel it hurts.'' I whimpered as another contraction passed.
''You're doing so well, baby.' He cooed, stroking my hair.
We sat in the hospital room, Ruel saying sweet things into my ear every time I was in pain, when a midwife walked in.
''How far dialated are you, y/n?' she asked.
''I think i was eight centimetres last time i was checked.'' I said.
''Okay, I'll check and see if you've progressed.'' She explained.
The midwife checked how dialated I was and then began preparing the hospital room.
''You're ten centimetres dialated, get ready for your baby.'' she said excitedly.
I pushed for around three hours, the whole time, Ruel was encouraging me on.
''Okay y/n, one more big push!'' The midwife smiled.
I pushed with everything I had and then I felt our little bundle of joy come into the world.
''You did so well, baby.'' Ruel cried, lightly kissing my temples.
''You have a little baby boy!'' The midwife exclaimed.
Me and Ruel just cried and held onto each other as our little baby boy was being cleaned up.
''Would dad like to cut the cord?'' The midwife asked.
Ruel didn't even flinch at being referred to as dad, he just nodded and went over to our little boy.
He was wrapped up in blankets and brought over for me to hold.
''He's so precious!'' I cried, kissing the top of his head lightly.
Ruel's phone buzzed and he picked it up to check who it was.
''y/n are you ready for people yet?'' He asked.
''Yeah, I can't wait to show everyone our little boy.'' I smiled.
A couple of minutes later, me and Ruel's family arrived at the hospital room.
''What do you have?'' My mun asked, excitedly.
''A perfect little boy.'' Ruel announced causing everyone to aww.
''What's his name?'' Coco asked, smiling widely.
''Asher Carson van Dijk.'' I said.
''You're using my last name instead of y/l/n (your last name)?'' Ruel asked shocked.
I nodded, causing Ruel to start crying.
''Don't cry (😂😉) Ruel.' His mum said taking him into a hug.
''Who wants to hold him?'' I asked.
Everyone replied ''me'' and me and Ruel laughed. We let Sylvie hold him first and then she passed him to everyone else so they got a chance to hold him and me and Ruel got a chance to talk.
''I'm so proud of you.'' He exclaimed. ''You're the strongest person I've ever met.'' He cooed.
''I love you so much.'' I smiled.
''I love you even more.'' He exclaimed, lightly kissing my lips.
When we pulled away, we realised that everyone was watching us.
''Three cheers for the new parents!'' My mum said, causing everyone to cheer and me and Ruel to laugh.
''I can't wait to live the rest of my life with you, Ruel.'' I admitted, kissing him gently.
''Neither, we have the most perfect little family.'' He smiled.
''Family photo!'' Coco smiled, causing Ruel's dad to hand me Asher. ''Say cheese!'' Coco laughed, taking the picture.
She showed us the picture and I instantly began to cry.
''Everything is so perfect, I can't belive that I was ever terrified for this.'' I sniffled.
''Asher couldn't wish for a better mum, his is the best in the world.'' Ruel smiled.
