Y/N POV
I sat in Ruel and I's shared bed, waiting for him to get home from the studio. He left at seven am and it was twelve pm and he still wasn't home, he hadn't even texted me. I decided to call him to see whether he was ok or not. The phone rang for about ten seconds before Ruel answered.
'What do you want?' He snapped.
'I just wanted to know if you were ok, you've been gone for a while.' I replied.
'Yeah, I'm fine. Leave me alone!' He said, bluntly.
'Oh-' I started before he hung up.
I lay down in the bed and curled up into the covers, attempting to suppress my tears but it didn't work. Coco must've heard me crying so she came into me and Ruel's room.
'Aww y/n are you ok?' She asked, hugging me tightly.
'I called Ruel to ask if he was ok and he snapped at me and just hung up.' I whimpered.
'Don't worry about him, he doesn't know what he's doing half the time. He really likes you.' Coco explained.
'Thanks Coco, you really are the superior van Dijk.' I sniffed, making her giggle.
She quietly left the room, leaving me to rest but no matter how hard it tried, I couldn't sleep.
I tossed and turned for a few hours until I gave in a checked my phone, seeing that it was three in the morning. Then I heard Ruel come through the door.
'Hey, are you ok?' I asked him as he began to change into his pyjamas.
'Yes.' He replied, coldly.
'What's wrong Ruel?' I asked, really concerned.
'Shut up, you're so needy!' He shouted.
'What I didn't say anything.' I defended, tears beginning to fall.
'All of the time you call me, you can't go like two hours without calling me. You're a psychopath!' He hollered.
'I just care about you, I love you!' I screamed, this was the first time I had ever told him that.
I didn't wait for his reply, I just picked up a bag and began to pack it.
'Yeah, leave I don't care!' Ruel said.
Again, I didn't reply. I just picked up my bag and walked to Coco's room. I slammed Ruel's door. I knocked on Coco's door and waited for her to open it.
'y/n what happened?' She asked.
'Ruel said that I'm psychopath.' I cried.
'Don't listen to him, I don't know what's wrong with him.' She explained.
'Please can you take me home?' I whimpered.
'Umm, just wait in my room for a second, I'm going to talk to Ruel.' She said and began to walk off.
RUEL POV
I don't know why I was this horrible to y/n but I'm tired and she's being extremely annoying. I sat down on our bed when Coco walked in.
'What the fuck have you done?' Coco shouted.
'She was being annoying!' I defended.
'y/n is in my room crying her eyes out and that is your excuse!' She screamed.
'She told me she loved me.' I whimpered.
'Sh- she what?' Coco asked.
'I'm such a dick, I'm tired and I snapped at her and then she said it and I didn't know what to say.' I cried.
'Apologise to her!' Coco shouted.
Y/N POV
I sat in Coco's room, crying and waiting for Coco to take me home. I heard the floor outside of Coco's room creak, I looked up expecting her to be there but it was Ruel.
'What do you want?' I asked.
'I love you too.' He whimpered.
I looked down, not knowing what to say when Ruel came up in front of me and lifted my chin up.
'I'm such a dick, you're so perfect.' He whispered, leaning in.
He slowly pressed his lips against mine but I didn't kiss back. He pulled away.
'Look y/n I'm so sorry, I can't live without you please forgive me!' He pleaded, tears slipping from his eyes once again.
'Look who's the psychopath now.' I joked, pulling him back and pressing my lips against his.
