The first track meet of the season was a few weeks ago and I finished first in my heat for the 200. I was 0.03 seconds from breaking the school record.

"What are you doing for Christmas?" Sabrina asks.

"I'm just going to stay here, maybe binge some Netflix." I tell her.

"I'm not letting you do that. You can spend some time with me and the team if you want." She offers.

"No, I'm probably just going do my usual."

"It wasn't an option."

"Okay, so if I do this then you have to help me with Christmas Day dinner for my hall." She nods and then realises what I've said.

"WAIT! WHAT?!" She yells.

"Every year I cook dinner for my hall. Just so people who can't go home don't feel left out."

"How come I've never heard of this?" She asks.

"It's kind of just a tradition in my hall." I tell her.

"That's so... amazing. Of course I'll help."

"Yay!"

"What do you want for Christmas?" She asks, changing the subject.

"I don't want anything. Do not spend your money on me."

"You mentioned something about Retro Jordans a few days ago..." Sabrina says with her voice trailing off a little at the end.

"No I didn't! You're just making stuff up at this point." I playfully shove her shoulder.

"Just let me get you one thing." She begs.

"One small thing." I say.

"No." She nods her head making a cute face.

"Please don't get me anything too big."

"I'm getting somewhere." She says, smirking playfully.

---

"Do I have to go?" I ask.

"Yes, it was apart of the agreement."

"I don't have anything to wear though."

"Let me be the judge of that." She says.

She opens up my closet and starts going through all my clothes. She pulls out a black button up that I forgot I had. She then goes into my dresser and finds a pair of black jeans  thay I also forgot I had.

"What about this?" She asks holding up the two pieces of clothing.

I snatch them out of her hands.

"I'll try them on." I go into the bathroom and pit the outfit, quickly looking in the mirror.

"Damn, this actually looks pretty good." I say to myself.

I go back into my room.

"So?" I ask.

"You look really good, but one last adjustment." She comes over to me and unbuttons the top button of my shirt and pops the open part out to the side. "That's better. You look so uptight when you have it all the way up."

"Thanks."

She offers her arm and I take it.

"You ready?" She asks.

"I think so."

We make the short walk across campus and arrive at her teammates dorm.

"Wait, so who's dorm is this?" I ask.

"Morgan."

"Is she cool?" I ask.

"She's pretty dope."

"Are all your teammates nice?" I ask.

"I think so."

We walk through the door and all eyes shoot to us.

My grip on Sabrina's arm gets 10 times harder.

"Hey guys." She says.

"Hey." A few of them say back.

"Who's with you?" One of her teammates asks.

"My friend, Mollie."

"Hey yall." I say.

Everybody goes back to what they were doing before.

"Where are the drinks?" I ask.

"Over in the kitchen." Sabrina says. I go into the kitchen and grab a cup and fill it with sprite.

I go back out into the living room and find Sabrina on the couch. I sit on her lap.

"Hey." I say.

"Hey. This is Sedona." She points to the person she was talking to.

"Yo."

She nods her head.

Sabrina wraps her arms around me and puts her chin on my shoulder.

Sedona leaves to do something so Sabrina spreads her legs out on the couch. I sit in between them and lay back on her chest.

"This is fun." I whisper.

"See, I told you."

"Thank you for getting me out of my dorm."

"Of course. You deserve to spend Christmas with people who live you."

I place my hand on her lower thigh and I feel her body tense up.

"I love you, buddy." I whisper making her laugh.

"Love ya too."
