[12] Facing a Rogue (Part 1)

Kizuna's Pov

"They're Chunnin from the Village Hidden in the Mist. Their specialty is relentless attack. They keep fighting no matter what the sacrifice" Kakashi-sensei said while looking at the two ninjas that are tied up in the tree.

"How did you know our ambush?"

"A puddle in the middle of the road? On a clear day when it hasn't rain for weeks?"

"Then my did you let the genins to the fighting?" Our client ask.

"I could have taken them out quickly. But I may learn nothing. I have to know their target is and what they were after" Kakashi-sensei explained.

"Hmmm... And what are you getting at?"

"This..."

"I wanted to know if they were after us, ninjas attacking ninjas, or if they were after you, the bridge builder. When you put it on you request, you ask for protection, against robbers and highway men. You didn't say that ninjas looking for you, hunting you down. If we knew this, it would be a B-ranked mission or higher. Our task is to simply get you to your destination, and protect you while you finished the bridge. If we knew that we will be fielding attacks from enemy ninjas, we would have staffed differently and charged for the cost of B-ranked mission. Apparently, you have your reasons but lying to us is not acceptable. We are now beyond the scope of this mission" Kakashi-sensei said.

"We are genin. This is too advanced for the level of our training. We should go back. I also think we need to retreat Naruto's wound and get the poison out as soon as possible. Back in our village, we can bring him to a doctor" Sakura explained.

"Hmm" Kakashi-sensei expressed.

"I guess we should go back to the village" Kakashi-sensei continued.

"Um... How we shou– Aru-kun!" Aru-kun suddenly pierce his hand with a kunai.

"Why am I so different? Why am I always–" then he groans in pain.

"Naruto! Stop! What are doing?" Sakura ask panicked and worriedly.

"Aru-kun..." I trailed.

"I work so hard to get here. Pushing myself until it hurt, training alone for hours, anything to get stronger, to reach my dreams. I will never back down and let others rescue me again. I will never run away, and I will not lose to Sasuke. Upon this wound, I make this pledge, believe it! Bridge builder, I complete this mission, and protect you with this kunai knife" Aru-kun said. He turns to us.

"Hahaha. Don't worry, I'll be fine" I start to get worried.

"Ah... Naruto. That's cool on how you took the poison out and all. But if you don't stop the bleeding now, you're going to die" then Aru-kun started to panicked.

"Ahhhhh! Nooo! Ahhhhh! Ack! I'm to young to die!" He said.

"Nice one in stopping the bleeding, Kakashi-sensei" I commented.

"Hmm... Show me your hand" Kakashi-sensei start to heal it. I look at sky to pass time.

We're riding a boat to reached our final destination. I didn't notice that I'm the last one.

"Kizu-chan!" I look at Aru-kun. I sit next to Sasu-kun and lean on him.

"I'm gonna sleep. Wake me up, okay?" He just replied with a hn.

Sasuke's Pov

We almost at the shore. I shake Izu up. Her eyes stir as she started to wake up.

"Wake up sleepyhead!" I greeted. She pout as she exit the boat.

'Cute'

Kizuna's Pov

"Okay. Take me home in one piece, okay?" Mr. Tazuna said.

"Right" we started to walk through the forest. Every now and then, Aru-kun will throw a kunai at a bush. Turn out its a snow rabb–

I turn around. Trying to sense any Chakra signatures, but none. Snow rabbit in the midst of sunlight. It isn't winter. Then I felt a presence at my back.

"Duck!" Sasu-kun grab my as we drop to the ground. A sword flies towards us. We look at the figure who is standing over the sword.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Zabuza Momochi. Rogue ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist" Kakashi-sensei said.

'Rogue Ninja? This is bad'

Aru-kun started to run to him but Kakashi-sensei block him.

"You're just gonna be in the way. Get back"

"But why?"

"He's not like those other ninja. He's in the other whole league. If he's our opponent, then I'll need this" Kakashi-sensei pulled his headband up showing something I never thought I'll saw from someone out of someone's clan.

"Sharingan" I mumbled.

"This could be treacherous"
