Let Me See the Sun

I was counting the stars,
since the day I failed to get you,
I was hoping that one may fall,
so I could wish for a plot twist.
My nursery rhyme
of twinkle little stars,
is not a mere song right now,
but a sweet refuge of my aching heart.

As I count from one to three,
my cheeks get wet of tears again,
It was three years when we've met,
and the pain is still here.
I can't move to four and more,
'cause my heart bleeds even more,
'til stars fade its shine,
like your sweet young love.

Clouds now cover
as the night goes darker,
stars are hiding from my sight,
even lights bid goodbye.
I can't see them glitter,
as raindrops start the play,
hitting every grounds and roofs,
a complete lonely sound they create.

Oh rain!
you're defining my pain,
Sing, sing, and don't stop singing,
kiss me with your music,
so I can forget the past
as I enjoy your presence.

I am alone with my
pillows and blanket,
coated with purity, at least
'cause the world will never be.
hide me, let me hide...
let me forget the love we had,
and tomorrow, let me see the sun.
