They armed themselves with weapons.
Suddenly they saw 30 US Military soldiers manning patrols around Manhattan. All of them were armed with assult rifles in their hands.
"HALT! STATE YOUR BUSINESS!", one of them yelled, aiming the rifle at Gretel.
"We're going to kill the Zombies" Gretel said, and stood her ground.
"Looks like you're all agitators", a African American soldier said.
"We're not" Kath told him.
"We want to end this shit!" Carle and Becky said.
