Aria was currently getting ready for the banquet. Nerves filled her stomach. Did this count as a date? She thought. She had to stop overthinking, her and Pierce were just two friends. Right? Anyways, Aria talked to Jimmy and he agreed to staying over at her place, until she came home. She would've had her mom watch Viv, but she wanted Jimmy to have some more one on one time with his daughter.

"Hey! I'm here!" She heard Jimmy's voice fill the house.

"In my room!" She yelled back, putting on her earrings. If only she could zip up her dress.

"Hey," Jimmy said, entering the room. "Uh need help." He laughed at her while she struggled.

"Please. I can't zip it up." She sighed. Aria stood in front of the mirror, Jimmy soon appeared behind her. He looked down and slowly grabbed the zipper, zipping it up. Her heart began to race, that affect he had on her, it strangely came back. He was so close, she could feel his breath on the back of her neck. Goosebumps rose all over her body.

"D-done." Jimmy stuttered.

Aria snapped out of it and turned around to face him. "Thank you."

He smiled and fixed her hair, "You look beautiful, as always."

"Thank you," she quietly said and blushed. She walked over to Viviana's crib and seen her fast asleep. "She just went down about 30 minutes ago."

"Alright, you pumped milk right?"

"Yes, in the fridge downstairs." She clarified. Aria looked at her phone and seen Pierce's messages, saying he was there. "Okay, he's here. I'll be back in a few hours."

"Have fun." He said and sat on the rocking chair.

Aria walked out of the room and down the stairs, to the gates outside. She looked up and seen Pierce standing on the side of his car. Her heart skipped a beat. He was definitely a handsome man.

"You look gorgeous!" He said and hugged her. "Wow." He looked her up and down.

"Thank you," she smiled. "You look handsome. You clean up well Abbot."

"Well, we should get going." Pierce said and opened the car door for her. Aria smiled and slide in the passengers seat. Within no time the pair was on the road, on their way. 

"Is your family alright with a Newman going to this event?" Aria asked. Once upon a time, Newman and Abbot Enterprises battled for years. This was before the duo even knew each other, all they knew was each others names. The whole world knew these two battled to fight to be the top number one company, not only in San Francisco, but in the state.

"Surprisingly they are." Pierce smirked. "They are dying to meet Miss Aria Newman!"

"Well, I'm excited to meet your family.' Aria smiled and checked her phone. Jimmy had sent her a bunch of photos with him and Viv playing. 

"Here we are," Pierce stated as the car came to a stop. Aria looked up and seen one of the most expensive, posh buildings in the city. Pierce ran over to Aria's side and opened the car door for her. He helped her out and gave his keys to the valet.

"Wow." Aria looked at the building in awe. She's only ever been in there once, and it was to drop a paper off on the second floor. 

"Let's get this over with, I don't want to keep you too long away from Viviana." Pierce said and let them into the building. They entered the elevator and Pierce pushed the top floor button.

Aria let out a sigh and smoothed her dress out. "So, who else will be attending?"

"Umm, my parents and some other family members." Pierce fixed his tie. "Ready?" He asked as the elevator dinged.

The doors opened and revealed the fancy party. "As ready as I'll ever be."

The pair walked through the doors and people instantly starting coming up to them. One man walked up, his eyes were black, like a crow type of black. His hair was slightly long, with a nice jawline. He held a smirk on his face, like he was up to something.

"Hello, brother." The man smirked and walked up to the couple.

"Hello Hilton." Pierce greeted him.

"Come here bro!" He pulled Pierce into a hug, then soon pushed him away, "And is this the Aria Newman?"

Aria smiled and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you Mr. Hilton."

"Likewise, Ms. Newman." Hilton smirked and kissed her hand.

"Hey watch it" Pierced warned and slightly pushed his shoulder back.

"Why is she taken?" Hilton teased.

"Pierce!" An older woman ran over to the group.

After five hours of the event, Pierce was finally dropping Aria home. He walked her to the gates of her home.

"Thank you for coming with me tonight. I had a really great time tonight." Pierce smiled and stared at Aria.

"Thank you for inviting me, I enjoyed myself." She smiled and looked down. "Maybe we can hangout a bit more?"

"Yes, I would really like that." He said. Both stayed quiet and stared at each other. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course." She nodded.

"So does this count as a date?" Pierce asked her.

Aria laughed and blushed, "Maybe." She kissed his cheek, "Goodnight Pierce."

He smiled and hugged her. "Goodnight Aria."
