Mikey POV

I was with her the entire time. From the minute she began getting dressed to the chapel to the cemetery, I was there. She knew I was there, I felt it.

Her words at my funeral broke me. She was right, that's how I imagined my future. Not like this, not a ghost.

I watched her as she threw dirt over my casket, sobbing as she did so. The pain I've caused her from this hurts to watch, but I need to be here for her. I put my hand on her shoulder and watched her reach up to grab it, only to gasp.

"I'm here, baby. I'm here. I know you can't hear me or see me, but I'm here." I cried.

"Mikey? Either you're here or I've lost it." She chuckled dryly, "If you are here, know I love you more than anything in the entire world, our kids being the only exception."

"I love you too. More than you'll ever get to know."

She stood up and made her way over to my brother, waiting at his vehicle for her. I trailed behind her, watching as he hugged her. She sobbed into his chest, nearly collapsing. Luckily, Lindsey was there to hold her back up.

"I can't do this without him, I can't." She cried. They tried their best to comfort her, but nothing worked, My heart was aching as I watched the interaction. This was my fault. I should've just stayed where I was. I may not have been here, but at least I'd be alive.

"You can. You're a very strong woman, Y/N, and you have all of us. I know it's hard, believe me, I feel your pain. You, my parents, and I feel yours and Rowan's pain more than anyone else that came. We all have to stay strong though. We have to carry on, if not for each other, then for Mikey. He wouldn't want to see us this way." Gee spoke into her hair.

"I want you all to be strong, Gee. I wish so badly I could take your pain away." I continued to cry as they did as well.

"He was my whole world, Gerard." She whispered.

"You were mine too, You still are." I whispered back, though they couldn't hear me.

"Mommy, don't cry, Daddy is still here." I heard Rowan say behind us. Y/N turned around and picked our daughter up. I watched as she hugged her tighter than ever before, and I wished I could do the same.

"Yes he is, sweetheart." She said as she looked in my direction. I know she can't see me, but it still made me smile. "Lets get going, okay?" She sniffled as she got into the car with Gerard, Lindsey, and Bandit.

I watched as they left, driving back to our house.

"I remember when you and your brother were in the same position as she is." I heard my grandmother say. When she died, we were absolutely devastated.

"I just hope the pain lessens for her. She can't be under this much stress." I replied. We began walking down the colorless road when I heard squealing, followed by a loud crashing sound. My heart sank to my stomach.

I bolted towards the area the noise came from and saw Gerard's car upside down. I heard the girls crying. I rushed over, hoping to whatever God that may be seeing this would allow me to help.

I got down on my stomach and looked inside the window. Both girls were awake and seemingly unharmed. Lindsey was in and out of consciousness, but Gerard and Y/N were completely knocked out.

"Please let this work." I silently prayed. I mustered up any strength I possibly had and ripped the door open. "I don't know if you two can see or hear me, but I'm going to get you out of here." I said to the girls. They both looked over towards, possibly noticing me? I'm unsure.

I started with Bandit, who was closest. I placed one arm under her as I unbuckled her with the other. I wrapped both arms around her and pulled her out, then set on her on the ground behind me. I crawled further into the car and did the same with my daughter, who was beside my unconscious wife. I pulled Rowan out and away from the wreckage and sat her down.

"Daddy, help mommy." I heard Ro whisper. So she can see me? I did as she said and climbed back in. Y/N's had was bleeding, most likely hitting her head violently off of the seat, causing her to black out. My biggest fear was something happening to the baby.

I unbuckled my pregnant wife and stopped her from falling. I tried my hardest to drag her out gently, not wanting to cause any harm. Bandit had ran up to one of the houses across the street, knocking relentlessly. Once I had Y/N out and laid on the ground, I helped Lindsey and Gerard. Gerard's nose was definitely broken, as well as his leg. Lindsey seemed fine besides a little head trauma.

"Mikey?" Lindsey whispered as I laid her next to my wife. I simply smiled at her. My strength was wearing thin though. I could feel myself growing weaker and weaker the more I helped.

I finally heard sirens in the distance.
