It had been a couple weeks since the appointment, and at first the small things started disappearing. Only when I couldn't hear my music did I put on the stupid hearing aids.

I've upped the amount of JSL classes I've been going to, so I don't get to be home as much. That means I don't get to hang out with Kirishima much either, but from what I can tell he's been busy too.

My hair hasn't grown out enough to cover the edge of my hearing aids, but I don't get questioned much. I guess it's pretty easy to piece together what happened.

They told me to stop using my quirk, but I told them I was going to go out doing what I want. Even though I can tell a difference every time I use it. I can barely hear anything at this point, but still I push on. I will until the day I can't anymore.

Aizawa told us we'd have sparring today, and I was going to be paired up with Kirishima. Apparently we could stop if I thought I needed to, but like hell thats gonna happen.

The bell rang and we all went to change into our hero costumes.

"Shitty hair," I smirk at the red haired boy that's walking beside me. I'm not going easy on you today.

He rolled his eyes and lifted his hands. I wouldn't expect anything less.

"Tch," I had to wipe my mouth to hide the smile that was pulling at my lips.

Once we were outside he stared at me from across our training ground. Ready?

You bet. I laugh smugly before positioning my hands, and then light a few small explosions for effect.

The battle started off as usual, I shot an explosion and he blocked it with his hardening. Then I tried to get into the air for a surprise attack, but he was already turned around.

"Shit, Eijirou!" I yell out, pausing for a brief moment when I remember our other classmates are around. I- what's my excuse supposed to-

In an instant I was pinned. "Shitty Hair?!" I growl. I have only seconds to get back up before it will be counted as his win. With all my willpower I lean over my body and try to pull the trigger on my gauntlet. If I can use the force to roll away from him I can get back to my feet.

The only issue was, I hadn't used my gauntlet since I'd gotten my hearing aids. The risk of using them hadn't occurred to me.

BOOM.

I knew something was wrong. The ringing was louder than it had ever been before. It was numbing my brain. It hurt, it hurt so much.

"Stop!" I felt a scream rip through my lungs as I roll to my side. Where was I again? My eyelids are closed tight. I can't see a thing. I can't focus. There's just.. RINGING. RINGING. RINGING.

I felt a hand press to my shoulder and I quiet slightly. No, no, not now! My mind echoed loudly within itself.

When my eyelids finally flickered open I saw Kirishima above me. He was mouthing something, but I couldn't hear it. All I heard was RINGING, LOUD RINGING, LOUD PAINFUL RINGING.

"K-Kiri?" I felt a vibration run through my chest, my lips move.. but there was nothing. A numbing sensation I can't describe, that's what I felt as I grasped desperately to Kirishima's shoulders.

A few moments later the ringing died down and left me in silence. I dropped my hands from his shoulders, my eyes were burning. I can't.

He brushed something off my face worriedly before an expression of realization set in on his features.

Kirishima stood up with a sense of urgency about him. I couldn't bring myself to move.

After a long minute of confusion, a familiar blond appeared above me. It's ok, an ambulance is on the way.

"Ei," I can't tell what words are coming out and
which are just ringing in my head, "whe-re?"

My favorite red head appears on the other side above me. I raise my hands to sign. Help me.
