"Can I uh," the words were out of my mouth before I could think, "can I come with you?"

Bakugou gives me this odd look, but turns his body around to face me. "You'd want to?"

"Yes," my response comes a little to quickly, so I back it up with an awkward smile, "yes, if that's ok."

"Your choice, Shitty Hair," he turns back around and starts walking.

I run to walk by his side, "I'll sit in the waiting room, I don't want you to feel uncomfortable."

"Tch," the blond looks at me, but then back to the floor, "whatever."

We exit the building together after checking out with the office. They didn't seem to question the fact that I was leaving with him, but that's a good thing I guess. What would I say.. 'Sorry, I'm just going for emotional support'?

Bakugou stopped me as we neared the bottom of the steps, "We're riding in my car."

"Well.., uh, Bakubro," I scratch my neck awkwardly, "I don't really own a car, so I was going to ask anyway."

"What the hell," an amused look covers Katsuki's features, "how do you get to school?"

"I.. I walk," I look down shamefully and shake my head.

The blond hums, but then whispers something under his breath so I can't hear it, "Noted."

"Let's go," he mumbles and continues walking towards the student parking section.

We get into his car, and he flips down the sun visor. "Nice car, man!" I compliment as I look at the interior of the Jeep Wrangler.

"I'm glad you think so," Bakugou responds, and then slids some black sunglasses on.

The trip to the office was mostly silent except for the radio in the background. He had mentioned that his Mom was going to meet us there, but that was about it.

"This is it," the blond next to me sighs, and kicks open his door.

I nod and hop out of the car, admiring the complete black exterior. We walk into the building, and then into the waiting room. "Kirishima!" Mitsuki stands when she sees me and smiles. The women pulls me into a hug, "It's nice to see you."

"Nice to see you too," I look to Bakugou who has since walked past us and sat down in a chair. He's looking off to a different section of the office. Mitsuki soon let's me go, and I go to sit down. I stare at the seat beside my friend. I want to sit beside him, I want to hold his hand- I shake my head and opt for a seat across from him instead.

The three of us sit in silence for a while as they call names. His Mom hasn't even questioned why I'm here, and for that I'm grateful. Although, it has been bothering me, why does nobody question me following Bakugou around. Am I usually like this and just don't notice it?

"Bakugou, Katsuki," a lady calls his name, and I watch as he stands up begrudgingly. His Mom stands up as well, and the two of them follow the nurse. Mitsuki looks back to me with a questioning eyebrow. "I'll stay out here," I smile reassuringly, and watch as they disappear behind a door.

The minutes seem to take hours, so I nervously bounce my leg. I shouldn't be so stressed, it's just a regular appointment for him. No, that's a lie, this is a progress appointment. I searched what this office is for. They're going to give him an estimate of how long they think he'll have stable hearing capabilities. I stand up and walk to the water fountain.

The lady in the sign-in window looks to the empty waiting room, and then back to me. "Is he your boyfriend?"

I cough on the water that's in my mouth, and then look to her shaking my head. "N-no, ma'am.. I'm just his friend."

"Oh," she nods and looks back to her computer, "interesting."

I raise my eyebrow to myself, and then go back to my seat. A couple minutes later I hear a door click open, and I turn to see Mitsuki walk out. Her face is tinted pink, tears stain her cheeks, and her eyes are glassy. No. No. No. Bakugou didn't follow her out. "Wh-?" I start, getting up and rush over to hug her.

"He wanted me to tell you," she sniffled softly, and gently pulled away from the hug, "to meet him in the car." I watched as she turned to the lady at the window, and how the ladies expression turned to one of sympathy. "Kirishima, he'll be out in just a few, that's all I'm supposed to say."

I turn curtly, and then make my way towards the exit. A million thoughts run through my head, but none of them seem real. When I get to the car I don't even take note of the exterior that seemed to mesmerize me earlier. Fear was blinding me from feeling. I open the passenger side door and sit down.

A paralyzing half hour later the building's door opens, and out steps Katsuki.
