Trust

"Rose?" I repeated staring at the screen and looked around and it was Tristan's room.

"Uhm, Shantal. Ano, ah.-" Hindi pa nya alam anong sasabihin nya sakin. But she's very calm and she was looking around the room.

My heart was beating so fast.

"Babe! Sorry, hindi ko nasagot kasi so-sobrang tulog ako kaya ginising ako ni Rose dahil duty ko na." Si Tristan habang nagmamadaling kuhanin sa kamay ni Rose ang phone nya.

I couldn't show any emotions, hindi ko alam eh.

May kung ano sa nararamdaman ko, hindi ko na talaga alam.

"Ah, oo shan. Napa sarap kasi tulog nya kaya ayon hinanap na sya ni cap." Rose explained and joined our video call. I nodded and smiled a bit not saying anything.

He would never lie to me.

Never.

HINDI nya ako sasaktan.

Trust nga diba?

"Ah, kaya pala. Babe, bilis na jan. Baka pagalitan ka. Hurry!" I said while letting out a laugh and waved at them.

Kahit parang nawasak ang puso ko sa nakikita ko ngayon.

Ugh! Ano ba to?

"Hoy! Tangina, ano ba yan? Kanina kapa parang tanga jan. What is your problem?" Irene said slapping my arm habang nakatalikod ang prof namin may sinusulat sa board.

I looked at her and gave her a small smile. "Wala, I'm fine. Pagod lang." I replied assuring her.

Kanina pa ako ganito. Nag seselos ako, oo. Mahal ko si Tristan at ang makita syang may kasamang ibang babae sa isang kwarto? Naku, ewan.

Naiinis din ako sa sarili ko, eh. Alam ko naman kasing wala lang yun, tsaka tangina kaibigan ko yun eh.

Pag sinabing wala, edi wala.

I trust them both.

"That's all for today. You may go." Miss Llorca, our prof said dismissing us. We quickly fixed our things while some of my block mates left already. Tulala parin while I placed my bag on my shoulder and started walking to the door.

"Shan, miss mo na si Tristan noh? Kaya para kang tanga jan." Irene said as we walked through the corridor going to the stairs. I laughed at her remark and just nodded my head. Ayoko ko na may maisip sya na kakaiba.

I don't want to tell her anything dahil wala lang naman talaga and knowing irene? She'll drive me crazy sa mga assumptions nya so wag na muna.

"Very simple lang ang solusyon sa problem mo, gurl! Why don't you visit him? Go and surprise him! Since nasa cruise ship naman sya. Vacation mo na rin." Irene said clapping her hands like she won in a thinking competition.

And that is actually a good idea.

I went home right away after that and ate dinner at home. Alone again. Hindi pa kami nakakapag-usap ni Tristan dahil nasa duty parin sya. I stalked his Facebook account and also kay Rose but there was nothing naman.

I'm just overthinking.

"Tristan? Are you okay? Please stop it na. Don't worry na okay? I'm not mad nga, eh. You know I trust you." I said while looking at my Ipad screen while FaceTiming Tristan.

We talked about it and he already explained to me na wala lang yun and that Rose was just waking him up and I already told him I know and that it's alright because I believe him.

But he looked bothered. Not talking much.

"I know baby. I'm sorry napagalitan lang kasi ako kanina dahil na late ako. That's all." He replied and so that completed the puzzle kung bakit off ang mood nya.

"Aww, wawa naman baby ko. That's okay, boo. That's part of the process, dba? You learn something from it naman, eh. Don't dwell on that na. Basta always remember that I'm proud of you okay?" I replied and touched the screen as if I could actually touch his face. He sighed and nodded looking at me with a small smile on his face.

"I love you so much, shan." He replied giving me a small smile.

Oh, Tristan. Mahal na mahal na mahal kita. Kung alam mo lang.

Weeks have passed and okay naman na kami ni Tristan hindi na naulit yung incident na yun dahil hindi na nya naka kalimot ang alarm nya. I made sure to remind him always. However, he's been looking so stressed out for how many weeks now and when I ask him about it he just says that he just really miss me.

Kaya naman, may ticket na ako para sa cruise ship nila this summer. I'll be staying there for a month. I'm so excited and I can't wait to surprise him!!

So, we'll be going around Asian countries lang kasi yun ang nasa schedule nila but I don't really care basta kung nasan si Tristan dun lang din ako.

Departure will be in Singapore so I'll go there directly and the ship will be going in Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and more. I actually can't wait to see Singapore's mixed culture, a mesmerizing mix of Buddhist temples, British-inspired Victorian buildings, Arab souks and ultra-modern skyscrapers, and is also easily accessible via Changi Airport. However, I don't know if I'll be able to explore it once again dahil baka busy si Tristan and I don't want to go alone and besides I've visited those places a few times already.

I asked permission narin kay mommy and daddy and they agreed naman and they even transferred money sa account ko agad. Dad gave me more cards incase may emergency daw. OA nga, eh. Ang cute ni daddy.

Tristan is clueless which is good so that I could really surprise him.

But lately, mas stress sya eh. Ewan ko, sobrang nakakastress talaga ata ang work nila dun. Kawawa naman baby ko.

"Excuse me, Can I have this in color white also? I'm getting the black one too." I approached one of Zara's staff smiling as I showed her the long sleeves cropped top turtle neck. "Yes, of course ma'am! Just wait a sec." She replied smiling and left.

I'm shopping right now because school is finally over and I'm ready to surprise my boo! I'll be leaving this Saturday and I didn't tell Tristan anything. I don't know why but parang ang dali nalang ng oras ngayon, parang kailan lang classes just started then now it's summer again and then I'm going third year college already.

Two more years and I'm done.

My phone rang while I was waiting for my top and I saw that it was Tristan. "Hey, baby!" He tried to sound enthusiastic but I can sense the tiredness in his voice and I can see the stress in his eyes. My poor baby.

We talked for a while then he went to bed already since duty na ulit later. I got my top and had my dinner at salad stop then went home.

There isn't really much happening in my life right now. Sometimes I feel really lonely being alone and away from Tristan. Since Tristan left my life has been so plain and boring just doing the same shit every single day and here's Irene who's always busy with her boy toys but I understand she's just having fun.
