Kindest heart

I woke up in the middle of the night with my stomach aching and me rushing to the bathroom to poop. Oh my gosh, it hurts so bad.

Baby, what's happening? I hope you're alright.

When I was done naging okay din at nawala ang sakit ng tyan ko kaya bumalik na ako sa pag tulog dahil may pasok pa ako bukas. Nagising ako kinaumagahan at sumakit ulit ang tyan ko. Shit ano ba, bakit ang sakit? I need to go to the hospital and have my baby checked. It's already 10 in the morning and I tried to eat awhile ago pero wala akong gana at pabalik balik sa cr. Hindi na ako nakapasok sa klase ko ngayon. It's fine but I have to go to the hospital. Nararamdaman ko na ang panghihina ng katawan ko at naiiyak na ako sa sakit ng tyan ko but I have to be strong. I'll just call an Uber to bring me to the hospital dahil baka ano pang mangyari sa anak ko.

Kahit nahihirapan at maiyak iyak na sa sakit nararamdaman ko nag sikap parin akong ihanda ang mga gamit ko. Naka pag bihis na rin ako and just when I was about to call an Uber my doorbell rang. I got curious because I wasn't expecting anyone today and wala akong kaibigan dito. I walked towards the door to open it holding my belly. I unlocked the door and opened only to see Tanner standing there with a paper bag in his hand. I am surprised to see him here right now but the pain that I'm feeling right now is too much at sobrang nanghihina na ako.

"What the fuck? George! What happened?" He said rushing over to me and held me in place dahil parang matutumba na ako. "Shit, you're so pale. Let's get you to the hospital baka anong mangyari sayo at sa baby mo." He sounded concerned and it's funny dahil nabawasan ang kaba ko that he's here, knowing that someone is helping me. Before I could say anything he held me and carried me in his arms again at dinala ako sa sasakyan nya and drove fast to the nearest hospital and I was rushed in the emergency room with tanner with me. I thought he'll just drop me off and leave because last night he looked so disappointed and didn't say anything until he dropped me home. He just said goodbye and drove off fast so I thought I'd never see him again that I got rid of him but right now I'm thankful for him.

He saved me again. He saved us again.

Pag dating ko sa emergency room they checked me immediately at may kung ano ano ng kinabit sakin and I felt needles on my arms but I was to weak hanggang sa nakatulog and when I woke up I was already inside a room.

Fuck, I got admitted. Sinong nag asikaso ng lahat? Sa admission? Sa bayad?

I quickly touched my belly nervous as hell pero nawala rin agad when I felt my belly. Thank God! I looked around the room and got surprised when I saw tanner sitting on the couch asleep.

He stayed? Anong oras na ba? Siya ang nag asikaso ng lahat? Oh my God, nakakahiya at nakaabala pa talaga ako. I stared at him while he was sleeping and he looked so peaceful. Mabuti nalang talaga at dumating si tanner kanina. Bakit ganon? Sa panahon na may kailangan ako sya ang dumadating? Hanggang Chicago talaga ha. Ang laki na ata ng utang na loob ko sa taong to kahit bago ko pa sya nakilala. Mabait naman kasi talaga si tanner and it's a privilege to be his friend.

At deserve nyang maging ninong ng anak ko.

Ang kaninang nakapikit na mga mata ay dilat na ngayon and he quickly rushed to me and gave me a bottled water. "Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked concerned while I drank water dahil sobrang dry ng bibig ko. "I feel better. Thanks to you." I replied and smiled at him and he took the water away from me putting it on the table. "I'll just call the doctor." He said then went out. I relaxed and closed my eyes while rubbing my belly.

Bumukas ang pinto at pumasok ang doctor kasama si Tanner. Umupo ako para makausap sya ng maayos. "Hello, George. You're up!" The doctor greeted politely and I smiled at him before saying anything. "Doc, what happened? How's my baby?" I asked worried about my baby. "No need to worry. Baby is completely fine and it was food poisoning. Good thing that your baby's daddy here brought you in quickly." Sabi nya habang nakangiting tinuturo si tanner. I was shocked at what he said hindi agad nag register sa utak ko.

"Oh no, you got it wrong doc. Haha, he's my friend but not the father of my child." I corrected and laughed, ang awkward kaya and I saw tanner smile amusingly. Tuwang tuwa ka ha? "Oh, I'm sorry! He didn't deny it while we were checking on you this morning. Anyway, you're safe now and there's nothing to worry about but for now don't eat anything oily and unhealthy. Just eat what the hospital will give you okay? Then If you don't feel any pain till tomorrow you can go home. " He said and tapped my shoulder smiling then left me and tanner.

Food poisoning? Paano? I'm sure hindi ito dahil sa dinner namin kagabi dahil kung ganon then bakit ako lang? Bakit okay si tanner? Then I remembered I ate some left overs yesterday for breakfast because I didn't have time to cook and I thought okay pa yun dahil nasa refrigerator naman kahit one week na.

Shan! Ang careless naman grabe. May anak ka na umayos ka naman!

I faced tanner who was now sitting on the chair beside my bed. Hindi ko na ginawang big deal and sinabi ng doctor kanina. "Tanner, thank you again for saving me. Kung hindi ka dumating baka kung ano na ang nangyari samin." I thanked him sincerely kahit nahihiya rin.

"No problem, Shantal George Sy." He replied smiling while mentioning my complete name. "Hey! Pano mo alam yan?" I asked while he just laughed at my reaction. "Sorry but I went through your bag and wallet to check your ID. I didn't know your complete name for admission." He replied then shrugged. "You should really be careful with what you eat next time George." He added in a serious manner now while looking at me and I just nodded.

"Bakit ka nga pala pumunta kanina?" I asked now that I remember him showing up on my front door kahit walang usapan then I saw the paper bag that he was bringing this morning on the table. "To give you this." He replied and handed me the paper bag. "Pero you can't eat it pa, eh." He added and I saw a lot of bagoong inside the paper bag and my eyes widened dahil sa saya.

"OMG, tanner! You didn't have to! But thank you!" Sabi ko habang sayang saya. "Um, how much?" I added asking and he laughed at me. "What? It's free! That my gift to you and the baby." He replied amused while he gently rubbed my belly.

"That's for you, baby." He whispered on my belly, to my baby and I swear it melted my heart.

"We appreciate it. Btw, dba may down-payment yung admission ko? Did you get it from my card?" I said asking another question. "Nope, don't worry about it. Okay na." He replied as the door opened and dumating din ang pagkain ko. "Tanner! Hindi pwede yan, I'll pay you!" I insisted as he opened my food para makakain na ako. "George, stop. Okay lang nga!" He replied and prepared my spoon and fork now.

Ano ba to! Nakakahiya na masyado!

"Tanner, it's not okay. Hindi mo ako gaanong kilala. I consider you as my friend but we just met and you paying that much for me is-"

"Kilala kita! Ikaw si Shantal George Sy at kilala mo rin ako, I'm Tanner Donovan and sabi mo friends tayo and friends are always there for you ng walang kapalit. Besides, time is not a basis. Doesn't mean because I just met you I care for you less. George, we're friends now and I got you." He cut me off and I'm speechless. Sarap mo namang kaibigan.
