We entered the pet store and it was like a pet Wonderland.

Pets of all sorts were there, waiting for a loving home to be brought to.

My eyes wandered all around, from the hamsters to the cats to the birds.

My eyes landed on the dogs.

All different breeds were in little rooms on the wall, with a bed, food and water and a wee wee pad.

"Maz cmon lets look," I said eagerly as I pulled his arm.

We looked at all the dogs of all the different breeds.

There were beautiful huskies, adorable beagles and really cute Bulldogs.

I finally found the perfect dog.

It was a baby black lab, maybe a week or 2 old.

I've always wanted a black lab, and now was my chance to get one.

"Maz look," I sad pointing at him.

"Wow what an absolute beauty," he said.

"He's perfect," I responded.

I asked the worker if I could see him and he brought him out to us.

He gestures him towards me, letting me know I could hold him.

I gently took him and he immediately nuzzled up to me, as if we've been like this for hours.

Maz and I walked over to a seat and we sat down with the dog still on my lap.

"I swear it looks like your already his owner," the worker said.

I knew he was just trying to sell him to me, but in a way I felt like I was absolutely walking out of here with him.

I stroked his head as he nuzzled in between my left thigh and Maz's right thigh.

I rested my neck onto Maz's shoulder and he put his arm around my waist.

I've gotten to know Maz over these past few weeks and I know that we're still new friends, but I feel as if this moment right here, wasn't supposed to go any other way.

This moment feels right.

AT HOME:

"Welcome to your new home little guy," I said as I placed my new black lab on the ground.

His little feet explores the apartment and he sniffed every last thing he could. I laugh at his cuteness and start placing his things around.

I put his bed in my room, his food and water in the kitchen, his weewee pads in both the living room and the bathroom and his one toy on the living room floor.

I bend down and squeeze it.

It makes the sound that every puppy loves and I soon here little footsteps running towards me.

I have the biggest grin on my face as I throw it lightly, trying not to cause any noise.

He runs after it at picks it up. he started to walk towards me, but then made a B-line towards Maz.

To be honest, I kinda forgot he was there.

"Maz I didn't even see you haha."

"It's alright if I were you I would be shoving me out the door to play with this puppy."

I smiled as my new puppy dropped the toy at Maz's feet.

Maz went to go pick it up, but the dog snatched it and ran away again, causing Maz to stumble a bit and me to laugh.

"You know he needs a name right?" Maz asked.

"I know but I feel like I would give him the worst name ever and it would sound to cheesy."

"Well why don't you name him something that has to do with either his personality or something that you love, like for example you could name him Maz."

I giggled and shook my head.

I love to bake the most out of things , so that's a start.

"Maybe something like...oreo?"

"Nah too cheesy."

"Coco"

"Eh getting there"

"Milk?"

"Now we're right back to where we started love."

"Wisk?"

"That's probably the first time I've heard that name...but I kinda like it."

So, I guess his name is wisk now.

Maybe I'll call him wisky as a nickname.

"Thanks for helping me through everything Maz. I probably would still be unpacking if it wasn't for you and I'm glad we're spending Christmas Eve together," I said.

Amy and I are flying home for Christmas Day, so we'll be spending Christmas Eve with Maz and Harrison.

"I'm glad too," he said with a cute smile.

I'm so glad I met Maz.

He has really been a wonderful friend and I'm so happy to be his friend...and especially his neighbor.
