Amy and I had just got off the plane and were ready to see family.

I turned my phone off air plane mode and got 4 texts.

Harrison: I gave Luke your number ;)

Harrison: ANSWER ME! -_-

Harrison: oh wait ur on a plane nvm text be when you get off ly :)

I laughed and texted him back.

Scarlet: I don't think I'll need that number anymore ;D ly2!!!

I looked at my other text and smiled.

Maz: I miss you already :( Whisk is safe in my bed now though, I guess I'll have to cuddle with him ;)

I laughed and answered.

Scarlet: Well lucky him! I miss you too see you soon!

The cab dropped us off at my parents house and we took our bags and walked to the front door.

I knocked and then we covered ourselves with our luggage.

my mom opened the door and looked so confused.

"um hello? what the-"

We popped up and she screamed in joy.

She gave us both a huge hug and just then Amy's parents ran to the door as well.

We all said our hellos and caught up with things and showed pictures.

"so, who's this Maz boy I keep hearing about from Amy? You guys kissed?" my mom asked with her eyebrow raised.

my dad stopped eating his mashed potatoes and looked up quickly.

"Amy what the hell!"

She shrugged and laughed.

"ok ok! he's a guy who lives next door and we met and we were really close friends, but we did some flirting and then one thing led to another and I was under a mistletoe and wela! kiss...es."

my dad dropped his fork.

"more than one kiss!?"

I nodded my head and he gave me a look, but kept eating.

"so you guys spent Christmas eve together?" my mom asked.

"ya look here's a picture," I said and I showed her the picture of me on Maz's shoulders putting the angel on the tree.

"Well isn't that the cutest thing ever!" She said.

I laughed and we continued eating.

We finished opening presents and Amy and I were in my bed talking.

"so, are you and Maz like a thing now?" She asked.

"I don't even know. I mean, it was kinda just a make out session and some flirting... the truth is I don't know if I could be in another relationship like last time, but it feels like with Maz it's different- like it's real."

a year ago I fell in love with a guy so quickly, and it turns out he cheated on me with 2 different girls and it broke my heart. I remember being so broken for so long, but I eventually picked myself up and kept going, but it's still hard to trust other guys.

"so...are you and Harrison a thing?"

"Oh hell no we're just good friends."

I nodded and we looked at some pictures of us and the crew back at our new home and it lifted our spirits so much.

I just miss everyone so much already and can't wait to get back home in two days to pet Whisk, kiss Maz, and tackle Harrison with a hug.

I definitely have picked the right friends...and maybe the right future boyfriend.
