Maz's POV:

I tapped my foot vigorously as I waited for Amy to finish talking to the doctor.

"Calm down mate, I'm sure she's doing well, she's strong," Harrison reassured me.

I nodded and glued my eyes on Amy as she walked towards us, ready to give us the news.

"So is she okay? Can we see her? What's wrong is there something wro-"

"Alright you better call your ass down. Now, the doctor told me that the drug Scarlet consumed was a drug used to basically in my own words, rot someone's brain...permanently. Unfortunately, Scarlet had it in her system long enough for it to damage her head, but she's not completely ruined, she just needs some help gaining everything back," Amy explained, tearing up again.

"S-so can we see her now?" I choked.

Amy nodded and we made our way to Scars room.

"Doc said she's gonna need a few day to gain her memory back, she might not really know us, and the medicine is working slowly, so she's still a little messed up," Amy explained before opening the door.

I quickly walked towards Scarlet laying in her bed, seeing her hooked up to a bunch of wires.

"S-scarlet?" I said softly.

She looked up at us with complete fear in her eyes, tearing up.

"W-what's happen-ning to me?" She stud erred.

"It's gonna be okay. Were here, ok? We will always be here," Amy said as she rubbed Scars hand.

"Thank you. But who are your friends?" Scar asked.

My heart almost dropped, but then I knew that she would remember soon.

"Don't worry you'll know soon. Remember your dog? I've been watching him while you've been gone and he misses you. look," Amy said as she scrolled through pictures of Whisk on her phone, cheering Scarlet up.

I flipped through the information the doctor gave us and saw that she would be released in a week.

There was a knock on the door and a nurse walked in.

"Visiting hours are over, you need to leave," she explained.

"No please don't leave! You can't leave me alone!" Scarlet said terrified.

"It's ok your going to be alright. I'll be back tomorrow anyway," Amy reassured her.

"But the voices! The voices in my head! They're gonna get louder and I'm so scared! PLEASE YOU CANT LEAVE ME ALONE LIKE THIS," Scarlet yelled in a piercing scream.

Her screaming that loud with that much terror in her voice caused us all to jump back.

"It's ok it's just the drug talking. Listen honey, I'll stay with you for the night, I need to run an evaluation on you anyway," the nurse said.

She nodded at us with a smile, letting us know it was ok to leave.

We said our goodbyes and left.

I'll be back here tomorrow, and the next day, and every other day she's here to help her get better. That damn Layla has ruined all of us, especially Scarlet, and it's all my fault. But now, all we have to do is help Scarlet become the amazing girl again that she was, and bring her home with our heads held high.
