November is not my month. Science was on the top of my misery today. I sat down in my usual seat, doing my usual before class routine when my mate came in with a tramp hanging on his body. I didn't even have to look at her to know that she had been trying to get with him. He sling his bag onto the table almost hitting me.
Some of these teens are ruthless. I knew he was also trying not to hit me at the same time because if a red mark shows on me, it would show on him as a dark bruise. He tried to get her to stay even after the teacher started talking. "We will be doing a project for the next month. Get started." It was a science experiment. My mate didn't even turn to me. I looked online for an idea before going with it.
I looked at everything needed making an illegible list. I'm one to try disgusting projects. This one happened to do with bodily fluids and how they reacted to humidity for a week, two weeks, three and four. My theory is that it gets nastier the more humidity it's exposed to.
"We are not doing that." I looked over at him. I didn't say anything as I turned back to my work. I was doing saliva, sweat, urine, and mucous to keep it friendly. The worst places for sweat is under the arms and the groin. I decided how to do the others before the bell rang.
Gym was alright today. Playing mountain ball, one of my more liked games we play. I barely tapped the ball going the opposite direction. That was a strategy. My team didn't win today though. I was ok with it. I changed back into my day clothes before heading home when the bell rang.
I heard the running before I saw them. I grabbed a tree hauling myself up into it. I switched trees and walked a nonclear path a little ways before watching. It was two of my mate's buddies. They looked around on the ground before in the tree. Dogs are useless some days. They don't know that we can move trees too.
I moved to another tree as my mate approached. "Get your a**es moving. If we're late again my father is going after all of us." He said as he kept walking. They flanked him. I watched as they took a right walking towards the training fields. I stayed another few minutes before getting down. I walked home and went straight to my room. I opened my bag to grab my science notebook. As I pulled it out, a note fell out. I opened it up.
'Someone is already doing your little project. Here's my idea.'
Placed out below the words were items and an explanation for a project. No doubt he would do something with cinnamon gum. I contemplated it before writing his idea down in my good journal. Bacteria growing. That was something I was doing but this is mouth germs.
I went to my desk drawer getting out some mint gum chewing on it. I opened my window for the breeze. Our pack is in the middle of a forest in what used to be Mississippi when humans inhabited the earth. They dwindled out and eventually died out. When I finished writing everything out, there was a grunt outside my window. I stayed still until I saw who it was. I closed the notebook and watched as he crawled through the window.
"I'm not doing this to get closer to you. We are forced to work together. You make one wrong move and I won't hesitate to hurt you myself. Understand that?" He asked. I nodded. He moved from the window and picked up the notebook with my neater writing. He flipped through it as he slowly paced the floor.
I stayed put as he stopped. He shook his head before leaving. My notebook dropped almost thrown. He shut the window behind him before I got up to look out. He stalked into the wooded area without looking back.
