Spring break was when it finally got to me. I took off in the middle of the night before anyone would notice. I had shifted and crossed borders without anyone knowing. Before I could get any farther I was attacked. I fought my hardest and escaped from the wolf.
I limped a few feet before collapsing. The wolf wasn't moving. I laid down to catch my breath before two more wolves appeared. One sniffed me over before the other picked me up by my scruff. I was carried back to a small cabin and dropped on the small porch. The one not carrying me, shifted and went inside. He came back with a pair of shorts on and one in his hand.
He threw the other pair to the one behind me. "Let's get her in." The one at the door said. I felt my back legs picked up along with my front legs. I was carried in. "That's a gash on her." The one at my back legs said. "Need to shave around it?" The one at my head said. "Most likely." He said. They gave me a light sedative to get the whole job done.
Then put me in a bed. As soon as I touched the bed, I shifted. "She'll be hungry when she wakes up babe." One said. "Yeah. I'll go fix us something." The other said. When I woke up there was something like clothes on the foot of the bed. I grabbed the shirt and put it over my body. Then moved the covers. My right leg had stitches in it. I used the bed to stand.
I limped out of the room. Two guys sat on a couch together. They noticed me instantly. One jumped up. He pulled a chair out letting me sit there. "I bet your hungry." He said. I nodded as I sat down. The other one checked my leg.
"Should take a week to heal." The one looking at it said.

"I don't understand it." Casey said. "Her leg was supposed to be healed by now." He said. Max looked at him him with glazed eyes. "Don't tell me stuff like that." He said. "I remember how you reacted." Max said. "If he's saying that I'm having trouble with my mate, then yes I am. He never said he wanted me and he never showed that he wanted me." I said.
"Might be why your not healing as fast." Casey said. "He won't come after me." I said. "Give him time." Casey said. "I have since I turned eighteen." I said. "Sometimes it takes you leaving for a while for them to truly come around and say I one hundred percent need you." Max said from the stove.
He's the 'wife' in their relationship. Casey is more of the 'husband'. But their roles swap too. If Max can't cook for some reason, Casey cooks. Maybe Antonio will come around. I watched them interact for a moment before Max said dinner was ready. Usually since I don't eat dinner, they force me to eat dinner.
I don't mind it now since I've got more energy than I did before. After dinner, Casey and I worked on ground protection techniques with me laying on the ground while he's trying to harm me. I've gotten better every day and am able to defend myself in case I'm put on my back.
He helped me up and back into the house.

"Antonio." The eighteen year old looked away from his picture of her that he snapped one evening when she wasn't looking to the man at the bedroom door. "Get out of this f*king room and get to the practice field." The man said. "It's not worth it." Antonio said. "Why not?" The man asked. "Because my classmates took the most precious thing from me." He said."We got an MPOP. The wolf crossed the border without us knowing into unknown territory. We need someone to retrieve the wolf." The man said. "Who is it?" Antonio asked. The man produced a picture. "Don't know her name. One of her family members said she had disappeared before they could come to visit. Apparently her parents weren't holding their end of a bargain and she left before they could talk to her." The man said.
"I'll find her." Antonio said. "Your unfit to. We will have a tracker do it." The man said. "I already know her scent." Antonio said standing turning to the man. "It's etched in my brain. It won't leave my head." He continued, stalking towards the man. "I may be the only one besides her family that could talk her into coming back. This is something I need to do." Antonio said before shoving his father out of the way.
It was his mistake of ignoring her. He hated doing that to her. He hated hurting her for a reason. It was his buddies that had made him do it. Their stupid pathetic little pact that he should have said no to.
