When I got back to the house with River after the doctors appointment, my uncles were still there with Andy. They didn't kill him and he didn't bore them to death. Andy immediately took River and held him. "Least he didn't scream his head off like another that was there." I said. "Who else had a baby?" Andy asked.

"A girl we went to class with. She was one that tormented me." I said. "Was she pregnant while you were?" He asked. "Her baby was in the NICU with River." I said. "Was she having major trouble?" He asked. "She looked like she couldn't take care of the baby." I said. "What were you proposing?" He asked. "If she can't take care of the baby, we have room for one more and the baby may settle down if it has more attention." I said.

"Its what you want." He said. I hugged him. "I will talk to her next time I see her." I told him. "I want to go with you to the next appointment." He said. "Its fine with me." I told him. We went back into the living room where my uncles were. "Looks like everything is doing well here. We will be back by around Christmas to check on you guys and the little guy." The older uncle said.

At River's next doctor appointment she was there with her baby. Andy held onto River keeping him calm while her baby was crying, screaming, and not calming down no matter what she tried. I went over after checking River in asking if I could help her. She looked reluctant at first then let me hold her baby. I held him against my body rubbing his back and calming him down. I asked her if she was able to care for the baby herself. "I'm financially able to care for him, I just have a hard time getting him to calm down." She said.

"How busy are you?" I asked her. "House work mostly." She said. "He may want more attention and that could be why he's not calming down right away." I told her. "What could I use though?" She asked. "I have a sling I use with mine." I told her. "Do you need any help?" I asked her. She shook her head. "Let me know if you need anything." I told her. "Wait. Could you show me a few things that I may be doing wrong?" She asked.

"Sure. I don't mind showing you a few things." I said. "When are you available?" She asked. "Whenever you need the help." I told her. "Why are you being nice to me when I was mean to you?" She asked. "I had someone show me that kindness kills, and stuns people that have treated you wrongfully. It also shows that it never affected you in the first place." I said to her. "Thank you again for helping me." She said before a nurse called her back.

"Why be nice?" Andy asked as I sat down next to him. "Because second chances are always welcome. I gave you a second chance after the hell you put me through since we found out we were mates." I said. "I never wanted to put you through all that. I hated standing back, watching what happened to you, that's why I tried to keep my buddies from hurting you." He said. River was called. Andy handed him to me and followed me back. He wanted to see my interaction with her and hear himself how River was doing with us both parenting him.

It went well today with the appointment. We went home afterwards and snuggled up on the couch. River in the crook of his father's arm and me leaning against Andy's free shoulder.
