May receiving area pa iyon containing sofas and all. It looked manly and very modern.
And oh I couldn't believe I really had time scanning his office while I'm so pissed with his attitude.
He sat in his swivel chair and then stared at me. He eyed the chair in front me, like he wants me to sit but I refused and rolled my eyes. Oh come on, wala akong planong makipag-usap sayo ng matagal! Like, duh.
Yes you're gorgeous but I've seen so many faces like yours. Even two times more handsome so don't you ever think that you could attract me and make me kneel just by your hypnotizing eyes! It takes more than that to seduce Amanda Lopez.
I pulled myself together. I stood up tall and confident. I maintained a straight look, trying so hard to hide my amusement... oh no, I am not amused!
“I’m here to ask you not to sign the annulment papers yet, you can sign it after 3 months.” diretsahan kong sabi
I maintained my stone-cold look while staring at his very serious eyes.
“You’re too late. I already signed them.”malamig nyang sagot
Bahagyang nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi niya pero nang may napagtanto ay napangisi ako.
“You’re a lawyer and a mayor, so basically, I believe you can do something about it?” I said with a hint of fake smile
Tangina, wag ka nang magmatigas, gustong gusto ko nang umuwi kahit nakakaengganyo tong lugar mo.
He stared at me like I said something funny then burst out laughing.
Nag-init naman ang ulo ko. How dare ha laugh at me?
'Gwapo naman syang tumawa self kaya okay na okay lang' ugh.
Okay, I take all the compliments I said earlier. He’s ugly and undeniably bastos!
“Oh, really? You had me checked, ha?” tumatawa parin niyang tanong
Hindi ako makapaniwalang tumitig sa kanya.
“What? Your house helpers told me, you idiot. Don’t assume things so much.”inis kong sambit
Sa sinabi ko, dahan-dahan siyang huminahon at kalaunan ay tumikhim.
“First and foremost, do not call me names if you do not want me to drag you out of my city.”arogante nyang banta, inirapan ko lang siya, I do not feel afraid at all. Like, me? He's scaring me? As if he could!
“Yes, I am a lawyer and at the same time,a mayor. Siguro naman aware ka na ang mga alkalde eh busy at maraming inaatupag na trabaho, hindi ba? So, I’m very sorry, I cannot do something about it. Papapirmahin mo lang din naman pala ako after 3 months, bakit ko pa papatagalin?”seryoso nyang tanong habang nakataas ang kanyang makakapal na kilay
He has a point but I am kinda desperate, so, I’ll do whatever it takes.
“Mr. Larrazabal, I need the damn papers without your sign. I know you can do something about it. Hindi ako makakapayag na sa hinaba-haba ng biyahe ko eh eto pa ang dadatnan ko dito. I am sorry for sending you the papers, earlier than it should be sent. Okay, I’m sorry. ”tunog sarkasmo iyon, hindi ko kase mapigilan.
Wala pang tumatanggi sa isang Amanda Lopez kaya sobrang nasagi nya ang ego ko. How dare he?
“Hindi ka tunog nangangailan Mrs. Larrazabal." panunuya niya.
Kinilabutan naman ako sa sinabi niya, ginapangan ng kung anong kiliti ang aking puso at tila tumumbling ng ilang beses ang mga butterflies ko sa stomach pero hindi ako nagpatinag. I must not be swept by his darn tongue!
“Alam kong may kailangan ka. Ang mga lalaking katulad mo eh hindi papayag basta-basta ng walang kapalit. What is it?” matapang kong tanong
“Oh yes! Thank you for giving me an idea.” he paused for a smile “Actually, something might change my mind, but, I doubt you’ll do it.”
“What is it?”
“Come here and sit first.” utos nya
I pursed my lips and closed my eyes. I let out a heavy sigh as I walk towards the chair where he wants me to sit. Umupo ako sa silyang nasa harap ng table nya at tinitigan siya ng pagkasama-sama.
Napaka hard to get naman netong mokong na ‘to.
“Be my wife.” Walang kaabog-abog nyang sabi
Natawa ako. What the hell?
"Are you proposing?" I asked sarcastically
His lips parted and he burst out laughing once again. I pouted to suppress a smile. I admit, he's so adorable while his perfect set of white teeth are showing! Mygod.
"You're funny. Do you want me to propose?" he asked, no longer laughing but his smile is still plastered in his face
"Why would I want you to propose? Don't be so full of yourself." I stated
Umangat ang kanyang kilay at kuminang ang kanyang mga mata.
"Don't worry, I have no plans on proposing to you. I am busy and besides, I am already married to you... oh no, we're annulled already..." panunuya niya
I glared at him. Talagang sinusubukan niya ang pasensya ko.
"I am still your wife." I sternly concluded
Gosh I sounded so....
"Really? Be my wife then." makahulugan niyang utas
He cocked his head as he lazily laid back on his chair, looking at me with his playful eyes.
“I am already you’re wife!” pagdiin ko.
What does he mean? I don't get him! He's complicated!
“Act as one, I mean.”
Halos mahulog ako sa silya sa sinabi niya.
“What exactly do you mean by that?” matigas kong tanong
“You’re my wife right? Then act as one. Cook me meal, clean my house and prepare me clothes. For 3 months.”
WHAT?!? JUST WHAT THE FREAKING HELL?!?
“Are you sure you want me to be your wife? Coz you sounded like you want me to be your slave!And Diego please wag namang ganito, I already bought a plane ticket to LA and it is scheduled tomorrow! How am I supposed to that at the same time, huh? You want me to slice my body in half?” frustrated kong sabi
Seriously? Is he really asking me to do this? To what? Para mapunan ko ang pagkukulang sa kanya bilang asawa niya for years? Siya rin naman nagkulang sa akin ah? Hindi ako naniningil! We're fair... we should be fair... but he's not being one! He's so unfair and he's impossible!
He let off a heavy sigh. His deep gray eyes looked sarcastic as he clenched his jaw.
“You know what, Amanda? Hindi kita pinilit na pumunta dito, you have your own reasons, so I have my own condition too! If you can’t deal with mine, then you can leave. I don’t need you here, anyway.” kalmado nyang sinabi pero sense na sense ko ang galit
Kung kanina hindi ako natinag, ngayon nadadala na ako. He seemed so sure about throwing me away out of his city with my hands empty! And I'm afraid he would do that because he can! He have all the means because he is a freaking lawyer and at the same time a mayor!
He’s being difficult. He's giving me a headache. I don't want to follow his condition but do I have a choice?!?
“Okay fine! Oo na, payag na ako!”
