3rd Person Prov.
There has been a painful silence between the two of them since leaving (Y/N)'s house. The (H/C)ed girl wanted to say something she just don't know what. The pit of her stomach sank in frustration. So many options filled her mind but none could depict what she was thinking.
"So, um hey?" Nick spoke to get her attention. "I'm sorry I'll be leaving so quick. In all honesty it feels like I just came back." The detective walked focusing on the world in front of him.
"It's fine Nick. I'd be lying if I said I won't be missing you though." (Y/N) bit her lip stealing a glance at his weather worn face.
"Gee thanks, General (F/N)." He stuffed his hands in his trench coat pockets.
"General?" She let out a laugh and softly elbowed Nick in the side. "I appreciate the attempt. Ya might wanna just stick to calling me doll though, cause that sounded so weird coming from you." (Y/N) shook her head trying to catch her breath.
"That did sound strange, huh?" He gave his attention to the (Brunette/blond/noirette/any other hair color) stopping a smirk from spreading across his face from the scene.
She sighed sighed when Starlight Drive-In's exit came into view. "So, here we are. Sorry I can't come along... the Minute Men need me. Stay safe Nick, alright? Her words came out uncertain, but she smiled none-the-less.
"I may be a hunk of junk but I know my way around." He assured looking into her (E/C) eyes.
"Don't say that about your self Nick even if it's just a joke." (Y/N) put her hands on her hips.
"... Your right." He said, no expression evident. "I better start my walk to Diamond City, Ellie has most likely picked up a good amount of cases I need to get on." The cringed a bit know that the work was defiantly more then a good amount.
"Ha, well see ya Nick." She starts to turn away not knowing what else to say.
"Woah now don't run away just yet Doll. Before I forget I remember you saying you were running out of bullets for your (gun of choice). I had found a box ammo for that weapon, it's not much but it's better then nothing. I had meant to give it to you awhile ago but I kept forgetting with all that's been going on." He pulled the relatively small package out of his pocket giving it a gentle toss in your direction.
(Y/N) just barely caught it but played the fumble with the box as nothing. "Uhh, thanks!" She said a little louder normal.
"It's nothing, I guess I'll call it your late Christmas present." He shrugged a grin on his face. He stood there for a second then left with a quite 'goodbye'.
