"I can't believe you did that when you're literally 5 months pregnant. I mean, you're in such a vulnerable state and you disarmed 3 bombs in the span of 5 minutes and killed 10 men all on your own" Yanjun said and she chuckled at his rambling.
It's been 6 months since the agent and the guard got married. A month after that, they found out that they would be expecting their first child. To say that they were ecstatic was an understatement. When he knew, he lifted her up and spun her around while the two giggled happily.
It had been news that they were going to be holding a baby boy very soon and the two couldn't be happier. They were ready to pamper and spoil him with every inch of their being, knowing that he would most likely be their only child. As much as they wanted to build a big family, they knew that it would only bring more danger to them.
They knew the risks of being an agent and a guard, working to silence the bad as assassination follows. If they had more children, the children would be the victims of all the world's cruelty, becoming targets to ransom the parents. They didn't want that for any child of theirs.
She only replied Yanjun with a shrug and walked to her old room in the palace. She wanted to spend just a little bit time in the place she first bonded with her husband, the place she first found people who weren't afraid and so captivated by her, where she first found something she had never had with her parents, the bond of a family.
She knew that her son would be blessed, having so many uncles and aunts to care for him, even Her Majesty the Queen herself. She knew that he would grow up to be a fine young man, although maybe not raised in the perfect peaceful condition. She knew that he would have many questions when he grows up; why they have been gone through the night, why they have always hidden and many more.
She knew that they would have to answer him one day, explain to him how their jobs work, but she didn't know how that was supposed to happen. Heck, she didn't even know what to say when she's supposed to attend his school's Mother's Day one day. All she knew was that she was going to keep her identity and job until he was ready to know.
She showered and changed her clothes before coming out of the bathroom to see the love of her life. "Hey baby" he smiled and kissed her. "Hello to you too" he said again as he kissed the bump and she giggled. "He's quite the energetic kid. He keeps on moving inside" she said and he chuckled. "Well what can I say? Both his parents are in fact a guard and an agent" he said.
"Yeah but I need my rest" she sighed as he picked her up and placed her on the bed, laying down next to her himself. He laid his head on her bump and rubbed it. "I can't wait to meet him" he said and she softly smiled. "Me too baby, me too" she said and they rested there for the rest of the evening. A knock on the door was heard and the guard went to the door to see who it was.
"Not to disturb your moment but I wanted to tell you that Her Majesty invites the both of you for dinner. Also, dress up, will you? We're having a fancy dinner out of the palace" Leondra said and he nodded and thanked her for the information before going back to the sleeping agent. He gently kissed her forehead and she stirred awake.
"Hm?" she hummed as she yawned. "We're eating out with the rest, go change. I'll be in the bathroom" he said and took a suit with him inside the bathroom and closed the door. She got up and took a dress off the rack as she changed her clothes. Her dress was something she had personally picked, not too tight on her bump but also not too dull.

When the guard came out of the bathroom dressed in a white shirt and black slacks, he immediately grinned at the sight of the agent. She had usually worn baggy shirts and sweatpants or just anything baggy since she has the bump but looking at her dress like this, it was kind of new.
"Awed to see me in this, huh?" she grinned and he nodded, kissing her forehead before taking everything they need and going out the room. They saw Jocelyn on the way there and the agent was quite surprised.
"What are you doing here?" she asked and the doctor smiled. "Hey, I'm going to see Wenjun and I'll be joining the dinner later on" she said. They ended the conversation just like that and went their own ways. "You wanna go to the restaurant first or wait? Xikan texted me the address earlier so we can go or we could pay Her Majesty a visit" he said.
"Let's just go to the restaurant, then we can wait for them in the car" she said and he nodded, helping her inside the car and getting in himself before going to the restaurant. It was a few minutes before the rest arrived and they immediately went inside, the entire restaurant being booked just for them.
They talked and ate happily, had some fun in dancing for a moment before going to give a toast to everyone. "Never in my life would I ever thought that this could start by helping Her Majesty. I didn't even think that we would've come this far. I started with my brothers, then I was on my own, then Yanjun came along while trying to kill me and then all of you" she started.
"I would've never thought that I would have gotten so much help from all of you, and most importantly, gained some friends and even a lover in a situation like that. Now I'm a married woman and becoming a mother and none of you left my side. To that, I say thank you, to all of you. You've done well. To the Chun Kingdom" she said.
