○ I love and don't love ○

"We have found more and more clues on the whereabouts of M this past week and we are going to plan an ambush in his hideout" the Queen said as everyone nodded at her statement. "So where are we going exactly?" Mingjun asked. "To a mansion outside of the kingdom. I will need one of you to stay here and take care of the kingdom for me while I'm gone" she said.

"I must say, I think you should be the one taking care of the kingdom itself. Let us handle the problem with M" Xikan said and she looked at him. "I can't just let all of you do it. What if someone gets hurt or worse, killed?" she asked. "Exactly, what if they targeted you and you didn't realize and it was too late for us to save you? Who's going to rule the kingdom then?" he said.

"So it's settled, Her Majesty will not join us in ambushing M's place" HQ declared and she sighed and nodded. She knew that they were right after all. Who would be the one ruling and taking care of the kingdom if she weren't there anymore? She knew that no one knew the kingdom more than she did. That was mainly why she didn't object further into the statement made by the guards.

"So, does anyone have a plan?" Jeffrey asked and everyone was silent until the agent spoke up. "I think we can manage a distraction for a moment. There must be guards outside the mansion but because it's hidden, there wouldn't be many of them. What I'm saying is just distract the guards, assault them if you need to and then get in" she said.

"What about the cameras, the security systems?" YueYue asked. "Who can hack down computers here?" she asked and YueYue, as well as Wenjun raised up their hands. "Alright then, YueYue, you hack down the security systems while Wenjun hacks down the cameras. You can monitor us from there and help in the extracting process" she said.

"Jeffrey, you're the one who'll distract the guards and then, you'll stay outside and look for anyone who tries to come in or go out. And let no one do that" she said. "Which one of you can disarm bombs?" she asked and Shengen raised his hand. "You scan the whole place and detect if there are any bombs armed and ready to blow. Disarm all of them" she said.

"The rest of you can go inside the mansion with me and we'll find M on our own. Is that clear or does anyone have other opinions?" she asked and the room fell silent. "I'll take the silence as a clear" she said. "One question, when are we going to do this whole thing?" Wenjun asked.

"The moment everything and everyone is ready. I'll say in 2 days"

They were sure by now, not of the plan, they were sure of that from the beginning. The two have been having sleepless nights thinking of each other without the other knowing so although the feelings are mutual. They were too scared of the pain from the past but now they were sure, sure of their feelings that is.

They have been doubting on it a lot, thinking that it was some mere admiration for the other's courage and work but no, it was more and they knew it. They just didn't want to accept it, they were just too scared of drowning to the same sorrow they once felt and wish to never feel again.

He knocked on her door late at night, and she opened it with tired eyes but he knew that she has been awake the entire time. "What are you doing here?" she asked but he only asked if he could come in and of course, she let him in. "What could you possibly want from me at this ungodly hour?" she asked.

"I want to ask you a question" he said. "Go ahead" she said and he sighed in nervousness. He has never told anyone about his past, unless it's the people who already know him then. He was there only to ask her a simple question but he had to give some sort of explanation to it first.

"When you told me about your painful memory, the scar on your eye, I just... I couldn't believe that I found someone so similar yet so different from me. Your scar was from protecting a friend, mine was because of an abuse by my father. But I have something that you might relate to as well" he started.

"I have a past with someone. I used to judge people only by their looks and that led me to dating a beautiful girl. She was indeed very beautiful and that was the only reason on why I dated her. That took a toll on myself, she cheated on me with another guy better than me. Since then I've never loved anymore, or judge anyone by their visuals. Now, I even think that it's wrong to do so" he said.

"When I saw you, I thought that you so amazing and I very much doubted myself because well, I can't even see your face. But after looking at how you handled things so professionally or how you would willingly sacrifice your life for people you just met, I was admired and I must admit that I was attracted to your charms. Now, we're going on this mission that doesn't even guarantee that we would come out alive. For that, I needed to ask you something" he said.

"Will you love me back, now knowing that I might not even live through the mission?" he asked. She was silent for a moment, it was so much for her to process. Of course, she was happy that he felt the same way but she was also shocked. She was taken aback by what he saw in her. She thought that he would simply be trapped in her charms like everyone else but it was more than just that.

"I also have a past. My ex killed my only friend other than Jocelyn. And he wasn't even sorry for it. To me, anyone can be in a relationship but with someone like that, who would obliterate your own friend, no. I was too afraid to love after that so I never did. That is, until I saw you. I thought that I wouldn't fall for someone too quickly but I suppose my heart has been longing for someone for too long now" she said.

His eyes widened and he had hope at that moment. All this time he had been afraid of falling for the same trap he had fallen for years ago and now, he had hope again. "To me, there are two types of people. There are those who I love and those who I hate" she smiled.
