Chapter 10:

Finally we feel our plane start to descend, just as the credits of our movie start rolling. I can't wait to get off this plane. I sit up in my seat and stretch my arms over my head.

"Trying to show off your muscles?" Louis asks from beside me. I meet his eyes, and I see a look in them I definitely know too well.

Sending him a wink, I place my hand on his leg and slowly draw a few hearts on it. "Is my body affecting you, Lou?" I ask in an innocent voice.

He takes in a shaky breath and pushes my hand off his leg. "You're supposed to be helping me take things slow. You are definitely not helping."

I laugh at his remark, and lean over to kiss the side of his forehead.

"Hey boys, grab your things. We are about to get off." Simon says from the front of the plane.

I stand up and grab my bag before following the others off of the plane. Fans crowd our terminal, once again, and reach out to touch us from behind the police officers. They scream our names as we walk by and ask for autographs and pictures, but our security pushes us through the crowd.

"Harry!"

A girl, about 20, catches my eye in the crowd. She waves excitedly, and I wave back to her. "Did Louis come out for you? You can be together now!" She shouts from where she stands. I laugh and continue walking, not bothering to deny her statement. I knew they would think it, even if I denied it.

It amazes me how the fans didn't take any of our bullshit. Most of them had always been able to see the relationship between Louis and I, and that didn't surprise me. I am awful at hiding my feelings, and I tried to learn to control how I acted around him, but it was hard. Touching him and loving on him felt so natural, but it was not the image we were supposed to set. It wasn't the image Simon wanted for us.

For the first year, I had put up with the secrets and hiding. It was kind of fun, honestly. Sneaking around with Louis felt like an adventure, but once Eleanor had came into the picture it wasn't so fun. I wasn't jealous of her, because I knew he loved me. I just wanted to shout from the rooftops that Louis was mine, that we were together.

I even let Simon set me up with a few cover girlfriends to see if Louis would notice how it felt. He just wasn't ready to come out yet though, and I was patient for as long as possible before I started thinking I was the problem.

I feel a hand press against my back, dragging me from my thoughts, and notice that we've already arrived at the car. I slide into the backseat next to Niall and Louis slides in behind me.

"Can we get food? I'm starving." Niall groans.

One of our managers, Sandy, turns around from the passenger seat and tells us that we can order room service when we get to the hotel.

"I'm sorry, Nialler. We will be there soon, I'm sure." Louis says, reaching over my shoulder to pat his.

I lean forward to Sandy and ask "What's the rooming situation for now?"

"We've got a bunch of hotel rooms, so I'm pretty sure you will each get your own for now." She replies.

My heart sinks a little at the thought that I wouldn't get to sleep next to Louis, but I nod along. By now, it's about time to rest anyway. The clock reads 9 p.m., and the sun is long gone.

I look out Niall's window and see the tall buildings and bright city lights. "I love LA," I say appreciatively.

Louis hums in agreement, and we sit in a comfortable silence for the rest of the ride.
