Hi guys!! Thanks to all who have read some of my story so far and left nice comments!! I really appreciate it. The last two chapters were super fun to write, and I hope they really showed a sensitive and vulnerable side of the boys. Anyways, carry on. -Cassidy
Chapter 8:
"I know, let them talk about it." I reply to Louis, squeezing his shoulder.
Since early this morning, I've been feeling butterflies in the pit of my stomach. That is what being around Louis always does to me though, so not very surprising.
Niall shuts the live stream off before turning back to where we are sat and saying "You know they totally just saw that right."
I laugh and shake my head, realizing how much the boys care about what the fans are going to think. "Does it really matter? Louis just came out. The world is already buzzing with rumors about us; might as well give them more to talk about."
Louis smiles at my answer and gently places his head on my shoulder.
Zayn raises his eyebrows at the scene in front of him, but ends up letting it go. I know the boys are probably getting suspicious about what is going on, but the truth of the matter is that I'm not even sure what is happening. Three days ago I hadn't spoke to Louis since his sister passed, and now I was fawning over his every word. It was like nothing had changed, but, in the back of my mind, I couldn't stop thinking about how everything had.
By this point, it's late in the afternoon and everyone is getting hungry. I think about the invitation that my mom had extended to me earlier in the day, telling me that I could bring the boys home for dinner.
Deciding that it wouldn't hurt anything, or at least I hoped it wouldn't, I share the idea with the boys.
Louis sits up next to me and I can tell he feels a bit tense towards the proposal.
"Am I invited too?" He ask shyly.
I can't avoid smiling at how cute he is. "Of course, Lou. You know my mom adores you."
He blushes at the comment and the boys all agree with the plan. They each go into their rooms to freshen up before we leave, and I decide to follow Louis into his.
Once he shuts the door behind us, he looks up at me with a look that indicates he wants to say something.
"What is it, love?" I question while walking to his bed.
He hesitates before asking, "Are we going to talk about last night, Harry?"
My heart pounds as he walks closer to me and I let out a nervous laugh before responding, "Yeah, that was pretty interesting. How do you feel about it, honestly?"
He stops walking as the tip of his shoes touch mine, and brushes a curl from in front of my face. Louis places a finger below my chin before lifting it so that I am looking up at him. He smirks before continuing, "Honestly, it's probably a bad idea."
My heart sinks as I register the words leaving his mouth. Of course he leads me on, only to drop a bomb on me. I angrily push his hand off my chin and stand up. "You're the one who got a hard on for me this morning, aren't you? Seems like you're quite fond of bad ideas."
Now standing directly in front of him, my breath brushes his lips, which are only centimeters away from my own. I defiantly raise one of my eyebrows before continuing, "I thought you were over all of your scaredy cat shit."
His face sinks at my words and I feel a small sting of guilt. "I was kidding, Harry." Louis responds, backing away from me and realization washes over me.
