I couldn't breathe. I was so excited. I immediately ran to Caleb and picked him up and spun him around. He laughed and said, "Why you so happy, sissy?", he asked.
I put him down and whispered, "Do you wanna go to a carnival fair with me and that boy you saw today?" He paused for a minute and said "Yay!", and hugged me. He gave me a kiss and said, "Can we take Spike?", and I said, "Sure. Now go do get ready for your piano lesson and at 5:45, we're leaving."
"Ok Nini," he said. "Gimme kissy," I said. He kissed me on the cheek and ran off to the piano. I sighed and waved goodbye to my parents as they got dressed and left for dinner. Thank goodness they'll be going to Dad's boss' party. Dinner and drinks will flow until 3 am, I'm sure, which gives us plenty of time to have fun.
Brandon left with his girlfriend around 5:30 and the whole house was empty. Caleb began to dottle until I shouted from upstairs, "Chopin, please!" He paused and began to play his lullaby.
It was a warm 84 degrees in LA tonight. Why not a Bohemian sundress?
