Ch 21: Back To Reality

We were in the car as Tia speeded down the highway to the hospital. I never been so terrified in my life we all knew something was wrong as soon as Tia got a call from the hospital.
( AT THE HOSPITAL )

We all rushed to ER part of the hospital walking straight up to the front desk.
Nurse: hello how can I help you
Me: we are here for people who been recently checked in
Nurse: last name please
Lhani: Kelly & Monroe
Nurse: ( types away )
Tia: anything
Nurse: yes they are still with the doctor so you will have to wait in the waiting room with the others
We sighed wishing we had some type of news about them hoping that they are okay but instead we were turned down...when we all walked in the waiting room....it was dead silence, my heart skipped a beat as I rushed into his arms crying.
Me: you're okay ( sniffs )
Trey: ( holds her & kisses her face ) I told you I would come back
Me: don't you ever leave me again
Trey: never in a million years ( smiles )
Brooklyn: where is Chris
Keith: Brook-(gco )
Brooklyn: tell me ( starts to tear up )
Lucas: he got shot in the leg while helping me
Brooklyn: where is he
Ar'mon: he's getting stitch up in surgery
Lhani: he will be okay Brooklyn
Me: yeah we just have to wait
Then we all sat down & wait for any sign....from time to time we waited for any possible time and any possible time we seen a doctor passing they were running or discussing with other nurses and time began to go by slower and slower.
( 2 HOURS LATER )

Today has been a crazy day...I got my babies back but in the end my father and my bro Chris we're both shot....I want them to be okay.....I want them to be alright in the end.
Doc: ( walks into the waiting room) hello everyone
Us: ( stands up )
Doc: so who's here for who ??
Me: we are here for my father, my baby Sephora & our son, and our friend Chris
Doc: alright well ur father is alright thank god...any closer to his lungs or further along the line of his ribs he would have died from internal bleeding....as for Sephora she's got many bruises & besides the fact that she was raped multiple times....she might not be able to have children anytime soon.....maybe never again
Me: what ( tears up in anger )
Keith: hey don't ( bro hugs him ) Sephora is strong
Me: it's my fault ( cries ) we didn't get to her sooner
Ar'mon: no bro it's not ur fault and never will be
Me: ( roughly wipes away my tears and sniff ) what about Zylon & Chris
Doc: Zylon is a strong baby and is in good health & with his mother and as for Chris is well stitch up....he just need to rest
Brooklyn: thank you doctor
Doc: no problem
After we went to check on them it wasn't until a day or 2 till my father healed and eventually we knew Sephora was heartbroken when we told her the news about what the doctor told us...we brought her home along with Zylon and Chris and made sure we give them space to recover.
My P.o.v
It was a Saturday evening of fun for me and the gang & I was just now getting out of a conference call with my momma with me and Keith wedding planner Tiffany who has so far put everything at ease when it comes to my wedding. I was coming from the kitchen to the living room when all of a sudden there was a knock on my door and when I open the door I stepped back dropping my phone.
Me: Emaeyah !!?!? ( tears up )
Emae: hey sis......it's beeen a long time
Me: what...how...whe-(gco )
Emae: ( hugs her )
Me: ( crying harder then hugs her back )
Emae: I'm not letting the streets get to me ever again I'm here for you
