Chapter X

Yeesha's POV

This day I decided to watch a movie. Maaga akong umalis at punts ng mall. Day off ko ngayon kaya masarap mamasyal sa labas.

It's been six months already mula ng dumating ako ng Thailand. Maganda ang takbo ng school. Fortunately,hindi ko na nakikita ang lalaki. After I told him na umalis siya sa buhay ko, hindi rin ito nagpakita. Marahil naiiintindihan din nito na hindi sila pwedeng maging magkaibigan.
Pumila na ako sa ticket counter. Sa unahan ay may dalawang kapareha na sobrang lambing sa isa't isa. Tsk, I remember him. Napangiti ako ng maalala iyon. Panay ang reklamo nito sa akin.
Pumasok na ako ng makabili ng ticket at saka popcorn.
"Yeesha!" Nilingon ko ang tumawag sa akin at si Arin pala. Nag-iisa lang ito. Lumapit ito sa akin. Si Arin ay kahawig ni Aran. Medyo matangkad nga lang si Aran kaysa dito.
"Yeesha,what are you doing here?"
"I want to watch a movie,how bout you?are you alone?"
"No,my brother is here."
Nilinga-linga nito ang mga mata at ng makita ang hinahanap nito ay tinawag ito. Nanlaki ang aking mga mata ng makita ang lalaki. Bakit ngayon pa?
"Arin,do you also watch movie?"
"Yeah,I love to watch movie today,good thing,Aran is not busy today so I invited him. We almost fight because of this." Natatawang wika nito.
"I'll go ahead."sabi ko pero sumabay ang mga ito sa akin. Tahimik na nakikinig si  Aran sa aming dalawa.
Umupo na ako sa bandang gitna. Tumabi sa akin si Arin at umupo din sa kabila si Aran. Nakasuot ito ng cap na itim.
" Aran,you look like a kidnapper. Wearing that jacket and that cap define you that you really are."
Wika ni Arin.
"Stop it. Or else I'll go now." mahinang wika nito. Ni hindi ako pinansin nito.
"Okay. "
Nagconcentrate na kami sa panonood. Horror iyon. Sigaw kami ng sigaw ni Arin.
"This is crazy."natatawang wika ni Arin.
Tumayo si Aran at tinungo ang restroom.
" he felt bored,Arin,let him go home."
"It's okay,that man needs to go out to know that the outside world is fun and exciting."
Natawa ako. Pagbalik nito ay sa kaliwa ko na ito nagmumula. Umupo ito sa tabi ko.
"Popcorn?" Bigay ko sa kanya ng popcorn ko. Tiningnan lang niya ako at hindi kumuha.
"You don't like it?"
Umiling ito.
Tumingin ulit ako sa screen. Sumigaw kami bigla ni Arin.
"Very noisy."mahinang wika ni Aran.
Napatingin ako sa kanya.
" Aran,s-someone is at your back."sigaw ko sa kanya. Bigla itong yumakap sa akin at sumigaw. Natawa naming dalawa ni Arin.
"Not funny." nakasimangot nitong wika. Natatawa kaming dalawa ni Arin.
"My brother is cute. Look at him. He looks angry but still he looks cute,right? You know what Yeesha? Long time ago when I was a little boy I remember he told me that----" Isang kamay ang dumaan sa harapan ko at nilagyan ng maraming popcorn ang bibig ni Arin.
Nakasimangot si Aran na nakatingin sa amin.
"I'll. Tell. You .later." Arin said habang nginunguya ang popcorn. Malapit nang matapos ang palabas.

"Tara,let's go." Yaya ko sa kanila. Lumabas na kami ng movie house.
" Can we go with you Yeesha since my brother here doesn't have a date today?"
"Arin,I'll go now. You go with her. I'll tell mom you're together."
Napatingin ako sa kanya. Seryoso ang mukha nito. Wala talaga itong balak na makasama ako.
Tumango si Arin. Nauna na itong tumalikod.
"You know what he lives separately when he turns 25years old. He's really strong. He always finds way if he's in trouble. I like him. "
"Really?"
"Yes. He doesn't go out. I always go with mom during parties that's why I am more famous than him."
"Why does he act like that?"
" He's naturally shy. But in terms of work he's strict. He is perfectionist, Yeesha. He gets angry when someone made a mistake."
"Wow."
Bumili kami ng ice cream habang nagkukwentuhan.
"And he always watch Filipino movies. He knows how to speak Filipino too."
"What?"
"Yes,he is. He watched Filipino movies because he also wants to go to your country. But he doesn't have any chance because of the company."
"Great ".
" Try to talk to him in your language. It might be fun"
"I'm not sure."
"My brother doesn't have any girlfriend even he was in university or high school. Many girls tried their luck but he doesn't give them a chance. My mom told me about you when you became his caregiver. Mom said you were really good for him. I was very happy that time because he finds his match but when mom said you left him,I was shocked. I realized that time that my brother would never change. Strict,self centered, rude and bad. Many employees are suffering because of his attitude."
Napangiti ako sa sinabi niya.
"But when I saw him smiling while you we're both on the stage during the symposium, my hopes began to rise again. You were really good to each other. Yeesha,if there's possibility, would you accept my brother?"
"He can find his mate in the future. We are not meant for each other."
"Do you think so?"
"Yes."
"Maybe,a CEO too,from another company. He would fall in love with her. He doesn't like me,Arin. We can be just friends but not for each other."
"But I believe you can be too. "
I laugh.
"She would be a great sister for you."
"I think no. She might manipulate my brother or doing something to him against his will.oh I don't want it to happen."
" But what if your mom has a friend and has daughter and they decided to marry them off,what are you gonna do?"
"I don't know. I might kidnapped you and my brother." Natawa ako sa sinabi niya." You'll also take care of his heart too."
I hit him in his arms.
"Aray, you should not hit my brother,love him with all your heart and soul."
"I gonna kill him and get all his fortune and run away."
Natawa ito.
"What a savage wife."
