Chapter XVII

Yeesha's POV

Christmas day. I know everyone is not yet awake. I immediately went to the bathroom to take a shower. Then fixing myself before heading to the kitchen. Last night was really long for me. Waiting for an ungrateful man is really painful. Does my feelings for him is not yet obvious?Do I have to tell him that I am really in love with him? What an asshole! He's a billionaire. Of course I know, but he should be honest to me. He should not be rude to me or what? Because I'm poor not like him,piling a bucks of dollar everyday,should I be the first one confessing my feelings to him?
This is really terrible.
I'm sure he's still sleeping right now after not going home early last night and celebrated Christmas in his office maybe with someone with a sexy red underwear and bra. These idea made me sick. I feel a jealous wife right now thinking about another woman in his office.

When I entered the kitchen,I saw his back in the sink.
"Good morning." I got a glass of water and drink it. He turned his head to me.
"Morning." mahinang wika nito. He's cooking something. He is now wearing his long sleeves folded in his elbows tucking in his black slacks.
"Are you going to your office?" I asked him. I remembered my gift for him. I got it in the living room and went back. I gave it to him. He is surprised when he saw it. It was black tie with a little pinch of white cube print.

Then he smiled.
"Can I wear it for you?" I asked him. He gave it to me back and I put it on his neck. It was good to him.
"There. Looks good on you." I told him. He got the pancake and shimmered it with chocolate syrup on top.
"Have your breakfast,then" wika nito. Umupo na ako sa katapat nito. He's eating his pancakes too. I stood up and made coffee for him.
"Thank you." wika nito. Iniinom na nito ang coffee na gawa ko. I want to hug him now.
Tumayo na ito. He put the plates on the sink and washed his hands with the water in the faucet. I am still eating with his pancakes.
He got his coat.
"I'm going." wika nito. Tumango ako.
"Bye,come home early." wika ko. After a minute,lumabas ako ng bahay knowing na naabutan ko pa siya.
"Why you went out?" Nagtatakang tanong nito ng makita akong lumabas. He was there checking his car.  When he opened the door,I run to him and hug him.
"Merry Christmas" I told him. He stiffened. Then I pulled my arms.
"I'm not dying,you almost hug me for second time." wika nito.
"Maybe not you. I'm dying" mahinang wika ko. Hinarap niya ako. He's holding my arms.
"You go back now. You take a rest. I'm sure you're tired." wika nito.  I just want to hold him forever and take care of him especially his heart right now. That he could be opened to me for what is inside of his heart.
" I'm going now. Get inside then" masuyo nitong sabi. Napangiti ako. I gazed his eyes who were looking at me now. Those eyes full of emotions.
"Is your secretary beautiful and sexy?" I asked him without thinking what would be his reaction. He was shocked of course.
"O-of course. " sagot nito. I pulled my arms from him. I fixed his suit and tie.
"Bye." Sabi ko sa kanya. Ngumiti ako ng pilit habang iniisip ang sinagot nito kanina. Kaya pala marahil gustong-gusto nitong pumasok sa opisina kahit pasko.

Tumingin pa ito sa akin bago pumasok sa kotse nito. Nakakainis talaga siya sa isipan ko.

Aran's POV

I almost laugh when she asked me about my secretary. Jealousy plastered on her face. She then became quiet.
Before I entered the car,I watch her one last time and I drove away.

I just feel so happy this morning thinking about last night. She was waiting for me and when I arrived she ran towards me and give me a big hug which makes me surprise.

Then I made her pancakes for breakfast which part of my Christmas gift for her. She's the first woman I ever cooked for my specialty.

I'm not sure if she checked what was in the small box. I saw her when she got in my hand she immediately put it on her pajama pocket.

I tried to focus myself from the work I had started yesterday.  It was past eleven,almost lunch time. I still have a lunch meeting in the restaurant.

"Sir, telephone for you." wika ng secretary ko.
"Who's in the line?"
"Your brother sir."
I got the phone and answered the call.
"Aran,can we go out with Yeesha?"
"And spent half million again?" wika ko. Tumawa ito.
"Please, I'm bored and she's crazy right now."
"What?"
"Yah,she's crazy. She's always asking me about your secretary, did you change Mr. Fulgar?"
"Where is she now?" I smiled. I looked at my secretary doing his work outside my office.
"She's in the garden. Hayy, I don't know why she's asking me about it. "
"You can go out. I don't want to go home y'all lose your sanity."
"What??"
Natawa ako sa reaksyon niya.
"Kuya" he used the word that I always say to him before. "Aren't you just laugh?"
"Do people now prohibit me to laugh?"
"No,it was just strange. Did you already propose to her?"
"You go,don't ask anything" then I hang up the phone.
I sat back and I smiled when I looked at my secretary. She's just feeling bad about my answer.

I opened the drawer in my table and get the ring. I held it in my hands and watch it closely.
I put it in my ring finger.
"This will be announced today." I put it back in my drawer and leave it with one last determined look. Come what may.

Then I started to work and prepare the things for my meeting.

I was in the restaurant with some of the investors. Pumasok sina Arin at si Julyenne. Napatingin ako sa kanila.
"Oh,Aran,is that your brother?" Tumingin ako sa katabi who is curious about my personal life. He is one of our investors. Ngumiti ako.
"Yeah,my brother."
"Oh really, who is the woman with him?"
"My girlfriend." I answered without any falter. They look at me with disbelief.
"Really,can we meet her now?" Tanong ng isa. Oh mygoah,I might be in danger this evening
"S-sure."
Nilapitan ko siya Arin at si Julyenne. They are both shocked when they see me.
"Can you both come with me in our table,they want to meet you." mahina kong sabi dito. Julyenne was hesitant to follow me.
"You don't have to say anything g,just say yes."
Sumunod nga ang mga ito.
"Everyone,I'd like to introduce to you my brother Arin and my g-girlfriend Julyenne" Nagulat sins Arin at Julyenne ng marinig ang sinabi ko. Humawak si Julyenne sa akin ng napakahigpit.
"Nice to meet you,"
Ipinakilala ko silang dalawa sa mga ito. Habang kaumakain ang mga tanong iyon at masayang nagkwentuhan, she grab the opportunity to talk to me.
"What's that?" Tanong nito. Umalis si Arin para magCR.
Magkatabi kami ngayon sa upuan. My arms is in her chair.
I gently whispered to her para magmukhang sweet kami sa isa't isa.
"I'm sorry. I'll talk to you later."
" Did Arin ask you that we'll go out.?"
Tumango ako. My secretary is with me now. I smiled at her.
"He said you're going crazy"sabi ko sa kanya. She put her hands on my arms as she turned her face to me and gently rub it on the cloth of my suit. But still I can feel electricity went through the fabric.
" don't do that."mahinang kong sabi. Huminto ito sa ginagawa. She then gets my arm and work on my fingers.
"Aran,you should get married since you have her already. Don't let her go away from you. That will scare you to death." wika ni Mr. Theeravit.
"Thank you,Sir,we'll think of that." nakangiting wika ko. Hinawakan pa rin niya ang mga kamay ko. It was really perfect. My hand is liked being made to hold hers.
"Aran,we'll go ahead. Thanks for the sumptuous lunch."
"Your welcome sir. I'd love hearing from you again"
"Ms. Dominguez, don't try to hurt our son,he's kind but strict in appearance. Bare with him. He sometimes doesn't like to talk to you but he's thinking of a very good words."
"Thank you sir. I'll always remember that. My pleasure to meet all of you."
"Pleasure is ours too. We'll be expecting for the next year wedding of the century in Thailand?"
Tumawa kami pareho. She's still holding my hand which I truly love the feeling.
"Sis,Aran,are you in good terms now?"
Sh immediately pulled her hands from me and left.
"Opps,sorry"wika ni Arin.
