Chapter XIV

Yeesha's POV

"Aran,can you just be kind? Mom and Dad is not here right now. You have your business to take care of. Why can't you just follow us and be kind?" wika ni Arin. Almost two days na itong nakahiga at mahina dahil ayaw nitong kumain.
"G-get out. Leave me. I'll be okay if you both leave." mahina nitong sabi.
Naisuklay ni Arin ang sariling kamay sa buhok. Parang pagod na siya sa kasasabi nito.
Palagi nitong itinapon ang ibinigay nilang pagkain. Namumutla na ito at nanghihina.
"D-dont worry about my business,Arin. You may go now. I promise I'll be okay after today." Mahina nitong sabi.
Hindi kami kumilos. He looks at us. Tumayo ito at kinuha ang tray ng pagkain at itinapon sa amin. "Get out now.!"nanlilisik ang mga mata nito at nilapitan kami at itinulak kami papuntang pintuan.
Biglang may humapdi ang paa ko. There I found my feet were covered with blood.
Ibinaling ko ang tingin ko sa pintuan. Isinara na nito.
" Yeesha,what happen?"
"It's okay. Let's go."
Umalis na kami sa mansion niya.
"Yeesha what should we do with brother now?"
"Let's wait until he's okay."
"Do you love him?"tanong nito bigla. Nahinto kami sa paglalakad.
" Yeesha,my brother is in love with you. I know it. Remember when we went together in the beach?your father and my brother were talking about you and he said he loves you. Why I couldn't remember that?"
"What?"
"He's in love with you. It's love sick!"
"And?"
"Love potion! He needs love potion"
Sinapak ko ang ulo niya.
"Crazy. You're telling me about their conversation with my father. What happened?"
"He said he loves you. Then your father said you are difficult to handle but my brother said it's fine."
"My father can't understand English!"
"My brother spoke Tagalog that time!"
"What?"
"Yes,he can understand Tagalog. He's really good in Tagalog."
Natigilan ako. So, he understood when I said~~
"Ate you sure? Arin? I talked with my father that time when my dad asked me if I love him but I told my dad I am but I got annoyed with his face."
Natigilan ito.
"Arin,what should I do?"
"Yeesha,now I understand, he's really angry now."
"And when he asked me about the two girls, I denied that I didn't get jealous. "
"But you did?"
"Yeah,I did. I almost hit him when he said they were beautiful."
Niyakap siya nito.
"Oh Yeesha,my brother is really terrible."
"What should we do?"
"Nothing. Let him suffer now." Tumawa ito at nagsimula ng lumakad.
"Let's eat. I'm hungry." Wika nito. Kumain na sila sa Maurer Restaurant.
"It's his restaurant. Let's get started."
Maganda ang loob niyon at simple ang dating. Marami ang mga customers na naroon sa mga oras na iyon.
"I want to eat chicken."
Isang bucket ng fried chicken ang ini-order nito.
"Wow,why is it many?"
"Of course we're hungry."
Chicken and cola ang inorder namin. Kumain na kami.
"Aran doesn't like to eat chicken."
"I know. Why?"
"I don't know."
"What else."
"He can do skydiving and scuba diving."
"Really?"
"Yes. He is into exhilarating and death defying activities. That's why he's scary man."
"But he's handsome."
Ngumiti ito sa akin.
"Yeah,he is. Your lucky because you can touch his body."
"Yah!!!"
"Okay,,okay..."

Umalis na kaming dalawa sa restaurant.
"We should eat more." Wika nito.
Ang card ni Aran ang ipinagbayad nito sa kinain namin.
"What if he would get angry again because we use his card."
"It's okay. He won't be poor because of this."
"Let's go back."
Bumalik na kami sa mansion niya. Tahimik pa rin ang loob niyon.
"When is your parents coming?"
"Next month. We have a long days here with that scary man upstairs."
"Let's plan about our actions"

Dahil makapasok si Arin na walang tanong-tanong,ito ang maghahatid ng pagkain. Ako ang magluluto at ito ang magdadala ng pagkain.

Hindi ito lumalabas sa sariling silid. Kumakain ito sa dinadala ni Arin. Nanatili lang ako sa kusina nito. Pumasok si Mr. Tsu.
"Ma'am, I think Mr. Aran is depressed of what's happening. Priya and Sasha went home and decided to quit from their job. And I heard one of his investor declined his offer. That's the reason why he feel so down now. He worked hard everyday."
"Thank you ,Mr Tsu. I appreciate your concern."
Kumain na ito ng hapunan. Ito na lamang ang natitira sa mga tauhan sa bahay.
"Thank you for staying here,Mr. Tsu."
"I don't have  family, and I treat him like a family too,Ms,Dominguez,so I stay."
"Thank you so much."
"That man loves you too. Do you know?"
Napatitig ako sa kanya.
"He told you?"
Tumango ito.
"One time when he approached me in the garden. He said he loves someone else but this woman couldn't feel what he feels and when I asked him,h said it was you. He even asked me how to deal a woman like you. I laugh because I don't have a lot of experience about it but all I can say he has to tell you but he said words are rare for him every time he's near at you. He couldn't find good words. He's coward I think."
Natawa ako.
"He's sick right? It's because of his love for you."
Natatawa ako sa sinabi niya sa akin. Ngumiti din ito at nagpaalam na.
"I'll go ahead.He might caught us talking about him"
"And we'll die."
Umalis na ito at naiwan akong natutulala.
So everyone knows except me.

Pumasok si Arin dala ang tray.
"He's eating your food. He's crazy. He said he'll go to work tomorrow and I'll stay here while nothing to do."
"What??is he okay now? Please check his temperature tonight."
"Okay I will."
"Did he always stay in his bedroom?"
"Yeah and sometimes went to his study room."
Kumain na kami nang hapunan.
Pagkahugas ko ng pinggan ay tinungo ko agad ang kwarto ko para magpahinga. Tinawagan ko ang pamilya ko sa pilipinas.
"Hello,Mama,saan si Italy?"
"Nandoon sa labas,teka lang tatawagin ko."
Maya-maya lang ay makita ko na ang ama ko.
"Itay, bakit hindi mo sinabi sa akin?"
"Na ano?"
"Na makakaintindi siya ng Tagalog. Alam mo bang inaaway ako non ngayon. He's sick and he doesn't like to talk to me or he even doesn't need my help."
"Marahil kaya niyang sarili niya"
"Itay"
"Mahal ka niya. Hindi niya kayang sabihin sayo dahil baka magalit ka."
Matagal pa kaming nagkwentuhan. Nang matapos kaming nag-uusap ay lumabas ako sa silid ko. Kumuha ako ng tubig at iniinom iyon.
Naghanda ako ng isang pitsel at nilagyan ng sliced lemon.
"Arin,please bring this to him"
Mabuti na lang at hindi pa ito natutulog kaya dinala pa nito ang ginawa kong tubig para sa kapatid nito.
"What's that?"
"Water. It is good for cough."
Sabi nito ay may ubo daw ito.
Ngumiti ito.
"I'll sleep now,sis,if you want to give something to him,do it yourself."
"Yah!!!"
Iniwan niya ako at bumalik na rin ako sa  silid ko.
Time passed by na hindi ako nakatulog man lang. I combed my hair and went out. I never changed my pajama. Since Arin said he will go to work,so I need to prepare his breakfast quickly.
It's 5 in the morning.
I just prepared the bacon,Sunnyside up egg,hotdog,toasted bread at orange juice . I also made coffee for him.
Nagluluto ako sa bacon ng hindi ko namalayan ang mga matang nakatingin sa likuran ko.
"What are you doing here?" Dumadagundong ang boses nito sa loob ng kusina.
" cooking. Have a bite before you go." seryoso kung sabi dito. Ready na itong pumasok sa opisina dahil sa suot nitong business coat.
Pumasok ito sa kusina mabilis kung tinungo ang pintuan.
"Eat!" Sabi ko ng lumapit ito sa pintuan ko para umalis na.
"Eat!" I said to him. Wala itong nagawa kundi ang bumalik sa mesa.
Umupo na ito sa bakanteng upuan na nandoon.
"Kumain ka na." wika ko. "Anong gusto mo,coffee or juice"
"Coffee will do."
"So nakakaintindi ka pala ng Tagalog, bakit hindi mo sinabi sa akin?"
"So what?"
"So what." Ulit ko sa sinabi niya. Kumain na ito.
"Masaya ka na. Nagmukha akong tanga sa harapan mo at sa ama ko. At ikaw pa ang may ganang magalit."
"Aalis na ako." Tumayo na ito. Mabilis kong hinawakan ang bisig niya.
"Sit."
"What?"
"Bakit sinabi mo sa itay ko na mahal mo ako?"
"Nonsense. I'm going"
"Yah!!!" Lumabas na ito sa pintuan. Sinundan ko siya hanggang sa garage nito.
"Mahal mo ako?" tanong ko sa kanya. Sumakay na ito sa kotse nito.
"Mahal mo ako?"
"I don't understand you." wika nito.
Pinaandar na nito ang kotse.
"Get out of my way." wika nito.
"Tell me first if mahal mo ako." wika ko sa kanya. Nakatingin lang ito sa akin. Tsk, nakakainis naman.
"No,get out now."
Naibagsak ko ang dalawang kamay ko sa gilid. Dahan-dahan akong tumabi hanggang sa makaraan ito
