Love is Clueless

Chapter 17

Walking in the door, the house is quite and a feeling of dread overtakes me at the erie sinlence. Turning the corner I see Austin and Tom sitting on the couch with a sad expression holding their face.

"What happened?' I ask droping all my stuff and sitting on the couch with the boys.

"Reign, Im so sorry." Tom starts "It's Jack there's been an accident" He continues and I feel my heart stops beating for a secound.

"Wh-what happened?"

"He got into an accident while out riding. He left after telling us what happened last night" Austin tells me

"He and Savannah never hooked up." Tom tells me

"What does this have to do with Jack? We need to go to the hospital" I yell standing up and moving towards my stuff to get to the hospital when Tom grabs my arm "Sit down Reign."

I sit down and Austin starts to tell me about what happened last night. "Jack got a call from Savannah crying, asking him to pick her up. So he drove over to her house and picked her up. It was raining and her clothes got wet so he gave her some of his to sleep in. He slept out here on the couch and let her have his bed. When he went back inside his room the next morning was when you woke up and seen the two of them.' He finishes

"I dont care about what happened last night." I tell them "I just want go and make sure he is ok."

"Before you go and do that I have one more thing to tell you." Tom says. "Jack is fine."

"But you just said" I start to say.

"Nothing happened to Jack we just needed a reason to tell you what happened to jack because we know you are too stuburn to hear him out." Austin finishes

I sit there not knowing what to say, "That was cruel" I tell him getting mad.

I stand up and walk out of the front door. I need fresh air, and space.

I walk around the house toward the barn, once I get to the barn I see jack shoveling the pens. I felt a pang in my heart, I knew I over reacted by not letting him tell his side of the story but he knows how I feel about Savannah.

I can do this, I need to apologize I tell my self. So I walk toward Jack when he stops shoveling and looks up at me. I freeze for a few seconds, how should I go about this? I made a complete ass of my self and I need to make it right.

I look back up and see him still standing there looking at me. I jog over to him and practically throw myself into his arms. "I'm so sorry" I whisper into his ear as his arms wrap around me waist.

"I was over reacting and should have let you explain everything to me in stead of jumping to conclusions." I tell him

"It's ok," he whispers back rubbing my back as I start to cry.

"I don't know what I would do if something happened to you, I was so scared." I tell him honestly

"What are you talking about, I'm fine." he reassures me

I start to tell him everything the boys had said as soon as I got home. "I was scared I lost you too." I conclude my story.

"I'm not going anywhere" he tells me again bringing a hand up to caress my check. I lean into his touch and close my eyes.

His other hand comes up as he cups my face. He pulls my head up so I am looking at him. He starts to bend his neck and gives me a soft kiss before pulling away. I reach my hands up and wrap them around his neck pulling him back down and deepening the kiss.

His hand wraps around to my waist "jump" he says breathlessly and I jump wrapping my legs around his waist.

He starts to pull off my shirt and one thing leads to another.

After pulling my scrub top back over my head I look over at Jack and smile. He stands up and walks next to me reaching his hand out. I grab it and intertwine my fingers with his while walking back over towards the house.

Walking in to the house we can't help but have huge smiles on our faces and see Savannah, Austin, and Tom sitting on the couch. "Well you guys look happy" Tom says with a smirk playing across his lips.

"Um, Savannah, the guys told me everything. I'm sorry for what you are going through, you can stay here and sleep on the couch for as long as you need." I tell her and she looks like she's about ready to cry. "But you make one move to ruin any relationship in this house, and you can find your self sleeping in the barn." I finish sternly.

"I won't, I'm sorry for what I did when we first met each other." she says.

I start to walk over and give her a hug when there is a knock on the door. "I'll get it" I say and go over to the door.

Opening it, I see a tall guy with black hair standing with his back to me. "Can I help you?" I ask.

He turns around and our eyes connect. My breathing stops and my chest hurts, he died. This isn't possible. I feel somebody walk up behind me, they gasp as they see him too.

"Daniel?" the words leave my mouth before my mind registers what is happening. This can't be true.
