Guy | Girl
"Sooo....who are you going to ask to the homecoming dance?"
"Unlike you to gossip."
"I'm not gossiping." She gasped, pretending to be angry at the accusations. "I'm just curious who Parkland High's residential golden boy is taking to homecoming. Looks like you're enjoying your newly single and eligible status."
"I didn't know you thought so highly of me. Tell me honestly, did you punch me just so you could spend time with me every afternoon?"
She punched him in the arm. "Not me you doofus. It's what the majority of the female population thinks of you. Do I look like the majority? So who is it? Emily? Hannah? Victoria?"
"Why do guys always have to ask the girl to the dance anyways?" He grumbled. "Do you know how much work it is? Thinking of cute ideas, making a poster, having to nerve to face rejection in front of the entire school."
"Tradition? But good point."
"It's unfair if we're talking about equality and the guy always has to make the first move."
"Okay, fine. I'll make the first move. I'll ask out the guy I like to homecoming. You better be watching me, I got moves."
"Just to be clear, we are not talking about karate moves here." He reminded her.
"Oh shut up. I can be slick if I want to." The end of her sentence sounded strained as she accidentally banged her knee on the desk leg.
He tried to keep a straight face. He really tried. "I'll be looking forward to your slick moves then."
