"Elijah, can I ask you a question?" I asked while he tread from behind, showing him the way back to the front door of the Salvatore house. He turned around to face me, once he was out the door, he waited for me to continue.

"Klaus...is there like an age limit to who he you know..."

"I'm sure you're implying if he would hurt you. My brother is unpredictable, ruthless of course, he is capable of anything. I believe he has a heart though but that's only my belief, he is my brother. But either way, I had promised to look after Elena's loved ones so you have nothing to worry about, I'll keep an eye on you. Goodnight Coraline."

"Goodnight," I mutter.

I woke up with a bad back and cramped up neck the next day. Sleeping on the couch wasn't the best choice but at the moment it felt very comfortable, being told that Klaus could actually have no heart to kill or hurt me can really get to you. I groan pulling myself up from the couch, my back cracking multiple times in the process. I couldn't even process who stood 10 feet in front of me by the door.

"Kory?" I blink a couple times in confusion until I could register who stood by the door.

It's like I was slapped in the face to finally feel wide awake, Alaric stood by the doorway. No, but that's not Alaric. I tense up when I realize he's probably back to return the knife. "Klaus?"

"No, what-" My eyes widen and in a split second I went off running over to my bag pulling out wooden stake Jeremy gave me for protection. My hands were prepared to lunge towards him, if he stepped one more step towards me, although now that I think about it that's a total suicide mission. I kind of hesitated putting it down, but I completely dropped the stake at the sight of Jenna with a crossbow in her hands pointing it towards Klaus. "Get out!" My jaw dropped staring at the crossbow in her hands.

"Jenna, Jenna!" He pleaded holding both his hands up in the air. "Jenna put the crossbow down it's me."

"What's going on?" Elena asked, her and Stefan walking down the hall towards us, Damon coming from the other end.

"It's me, Elena, I swear, okay, Klaus let me go."

"Prove it," Damon said.

"Okay uh, the first night we spent together." He started off looking at Jenna, I guess he is trying to convince her to convince us. "Jeremy walked in right when I was-"

"Okay, it's him." Jenna cuts him off quickly. I formed an 'o' shape at the thought of them together and grin at the disgusted and grossed out look Jeremy might have given them.

"Oh now wait a minute now I want to know." I joke around tossing the stake back onto the couch.

"Shut up," Damon said.

"Bite me." I shot back. He glared down at me, and I glared right back up to him.

"Why'd they let you go?" Stefan asked.

"He wanted me to deliver a message, the sacrifice happens tonight."

I watched Jenna and Alaric talking in the living room from the staircase, she looked like she was trying to understand whatever was coming out of his mouth. Twiddling around with my fingers, I let myself mindlessly think about tonight. Three sacrifices are needed to complete the transitions, he's using Elena for one, but I don't know who the other two. My fingers tense up when I think about the two others that need to be sacrificed. A werewolf, and I immediately think of Tyler, he was the only werewolf I'm aware of in Mystic Falls. The last one is a vampire and immediately think of everyone here, and I worry again. Shaking it off I took a deep breath and let it out trying to calm my nerves.
