Monday morning and I was waiting for James. Where is he? I tried to text him that we're running out of late but he didn't text back.

"Is James coming? It's seven already?" I know she wanted me to ride my bike and telling me that he will never come . "I'll take my bike Grandma" I was left with no other choice.

When I got to the school, I am already late, so I got a detention slip. I need to be at the library after class to help the librarian, that was an order, a punishment actually. I lost my concentration during discussion so I failed in our short quiz and Mrs. Peige confront me. "Sorry ma'am, I just have some personal problem." I lied to her. I don't know what to say anyway so better keep it that way.

During lunch, I went to cafeteria since I don't have the chance to eat my breakfast while waiting James. I was eating lunch when my best friend approach. "I'm sorry about a while ago. My phone battery is empty and I have to fetch Vanessa, I don't have enough time to tell you." he looks sorry and I don't want to be pity. My mind was empty and all I can say is, "It's okay." I know I'm lying but I'm too tired to argue with him. I let it passed. Then, I realize he was no longer with me, he was with his girlfriend, sitting on the next table. It hurts again. Shit Chanel, can you please stop hurting. I can feeling Vanessa staring at me and I know she was into something. Before doing her evil plan, I stood from the table and walk away. I was walking out from the cafeteria when Vanessa threw the glass of juice on my face.

"What's your problem?" I pushed her away from me.

"Dude! Why did you do that?" James went to us, but not to save me, he went for Vanessa.

"Baby, she pushed me when I just accidentally throw the juice to her and that's because she was blocking the way." she smirked.

"You are not supposed to that dude." he reprimanded me and he brings her up and went to their table. I can't believe her, she's a bitch.

I ran away from them and went to the wash room. I was cleaning my uniform whilewiping the tears falling from my eyes. It's fine Chanel, don't cry.

On the other day, I was walking in the corridor when Vanessa pushed me causing me to fall badly.

"What's your problem bitch?" not this time Vanessa.

"Stay away from him newbie or I'll make your life a mess." she threatened me.

"Hey dude, what happened?" James came to the picture and help me to stand. While Vanessa was looking at me evily.

"Nothing, I just slip from the floor." for the first time, I lied to him, I lied to my best friend.

"Too clumsy Chanel, watch your step next time." she said, pulling James away from me.

Not only that, there followed more.

After helping the librarian, I went home and found grandma sleeping on the couch. "I'm sorry Grandma, I went home late cause I got a detention slip of being late." I kissed her head and I immediately went to my room. I was about to sleep when i recieved a text from an unexpected person, James.

James: Hey dude. Sorry about Vanessa, I think she was just jealous of you cause you are my best friend. I hope you understand. By the way, I can't fetch you tomorrow, I need to fetch her. Good night.

Chanel: It's fine. I understand. Good night dude.

I missed you dude.

He was walking away from me, it was raining and there's nothing I can do but cry. I want to stop him but I can't make a single step. I was calling out for his name, but he can't hear me.

"Dude, don't leave me. Dude please."

"Chanel wake up. Chanel" I can hear Grandma's voice.

"Grandma! He was leaving me. He was leaving me" I tell her.

"No, it was just a nightmare, okay." she gave me comfort.

I went to school. I was not in my good state. I was on my way to my first class when I saw James and Vanessa. I can feel the pain again, the fast beating of my heart. It hurts and I wanna run away. I walk pass though them. The worst thing is, they were kissing.

After the class, I went immediately to James as it is Friday and it means we're going to the arcade. I was looking for him but he is out of sight. I decided to call him and thankfully he answered my call.

"Hey dude, where are you?"

"I'm with Vanessa, we were on a date."

"But we are supposed to go to the arcade." I was dismayed.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I have forgotten about it, I'll make it up to you, I promise."

"Hey baby, who are you talking to?" I can hear her voice in the other line.

"It's fine, have fun. Bye" and before he can even say goodbye, the line was dead.

I went to play on arcade but I got bored so I went home early. Grandma was asking me if there's something wrong between me and James and all I can give to her is a disappointed smile.

I was looking at my ceiling, reminscing the moments when James doesn't have Vanessa. He was free to hang out with me, but now, he can't even talk to me. I started believing that she is replacing me and it hurts but I don't have anyone to talk with, I only have him, and I am slowly losing him too. I suddenly hear my phone ringtone. It was James calling.

"Hey dude. How are you?" I started crying already.

"I'm doing fine." I'm not.

"Sorry dude, I can't find time to see you."

"It's okay, I understand." I hate you.

"I miss you dude" that creates silence between us. You really missed me? It's like you've forgotten about me.

"I miss you" I whisper as I felt the tears falling down to my cheeks.

"I'll see you tomorrow, in my practice. Are you game?" he sounds excited.

"Sure" I don't know if I am, cause you might change your plan again.

"Goodbye Lancaster." I hung up the phone. Don't you ever say that Anderson. Don't make me hate goodbyes.
