PREAMBLE

Dakyres are descendants of Old Magick gifted with affinity for the elements by Zaal, the god of nature, thereby gaining immortality for being demigods themselves. Despite being immortals, they would die without the necessary nourishment of food and water. They are divided into four Tribes:

The Blue Stoichi Tribe of the Dakyres of the Crescent Moon,
The Red Stoichi Tribe of the Dakyres of the Blazing Sun,
The Green Stoichi Tribe of the Dakyres of the Great Mustard Tree,
The White Stoichi Tribe of the Dakyres of the Floating Mountains, and
The Aether Stoichi Tribe of the Dakyres of Ao.

Over half of the Dakyrian population believe that the Aether Stoichi Dakyres are a myth and that they never existed. But there are people in the realm who think otherwise, they believe the Aether Stoichi Dakyres are just extinct. Hence the reason why there are presently only four tribes in the realm.

Legend has it that the Aether Stoichi Dakyres could control all four elements, but when the power became too overwhelming for them, they began killing themselves out of greed and started challenging the forces of the Otherrealm. Zaal, the god of nature who gifted them with these abilities, then split them into the four Tribes that are now known in the realm. He Gifted the people of a Tribe with an affinity for only one element.

The Westerners, or the Westies, as the Dakyres call them are strange, mysterious people who come from the west. The raids date way back to the days no Dakyre can remember, same with the alliance between The Red Stoichi Tribe and these foreigners. For centuries now the Red Stoichi Tribe has assisted these foreigners to raid their sister tribes across the Lava Sea. During these raids, the westerners destroy their lands and take Dakyres from the other three tribes back with them to the west.

No one knows what kind of people they are, all they know is that they come from the west in terrible floating metal crafts, which they use to take the abducted Dakyres back with them.

It has been about fifty years since the last raid, another raid is looming, and so is the explosive love story of two distant Dakyres about to mushroom into torturing bliss.

Faldrey is a native of Delta, a village in the Blue Stoichi Tribe, he just turned seventeen. A child born during the good times, he has never experienced a raid before. The only knowledge he has of the raids are the stories told to him. Stories about the horrors the Westerners bring with them and what they do to the abducted Dakyres.

Eren is the son of the Tal Dane, and heir to the Throne of Fire. He has never been comfortable with the alliance between his Tribe and the westerners, he claims it makes them betrayers to their own existence. When he speaks against it in front of his father, who is the Tal Dane, and the council of Lords he pays the ultimate price. Eren and his twin sister, Metsumi, just had their twenty second inferno emergency. They are both twenty-two years old, children born during the good times.

Eren and Faldrey the eighth reincarnations of Theobald and Alistair, two cursed Ao lovers, are about to experience their first raid which wouldn't just bring them together. It would change their lives forever.
