FALDREY
The day was going by very slowly, Faldrey was uneasy till that very evening. He needed to hear from Ursa how exactly they were going to escape from the castle on the day of the attack. He knew they couldn't leave through the gates, it would be the mostly heavily guarded part of the castle during the seige.
He'd spent half of his morning analysing with Aphrodite, but she used another coaxing spell on him, urging him to calm down. Faldrey truly needed Aphrodite beside him, he needed her calm element soothing and helping him like it always has from the very beginning. She had begged him to not overthink before rushing off to do her daily chores as a castle servant.
It was night now, but Faldrey stayed awake, waiting for the time when he would go to the watchtower to meet up with everyone. He wasn't expecting a flame butterfly tonight because there was an agreed upon time.
The skies had given way for another heavy rain to batter the earth. The sound of the rain on his roof was so loud it blocked out the noise the servants had started to make just outside his room. His roommate did not return this night, he feared that he might have been taken by the Mage as replenishment.
Shooting up from his bed and making straight for the door, the halls were crowded with servants running helter-skelter. Dashing through the hallway. He managed to bolt out of the way just in time when a really buff servant almost bumped into him.
"Sorry!" He called out for only a split second before turning around to continue skipping.
"Wait!" Faldrey called out, making him halt in his steps, "Why is everyone so restless, what's going on?" He barely got the question out, he was panting heavily and his heart was beating frantically behind his ribcage.
"The castle is under an attack, so the foreign servants are gathering in groups with their tribesmen to show they're not a threat."
Faldrey's heartbeat quickened even more, beating like an aggressive battle cry. His mind instantly flew to the Eren.
Eren!
(Play the song now.)
He gasped, pushing himself off the wall, because that was how he caught himself when the boy bumped into him, he started speeding down the stone hallway.
"You should find your tribesmen and stay there with them, don't leave! Anyone seen outside will be killed! Oi! Oi!" The boy called out behind him but Faldrey didn't listen.
How was he going to hide with them in the servant's chambers, his lover was in grave danger, and their safety wasn't guaranteed in those walls. The army was going to clear the entire castle and the capital no matter who got hurt in the process, Ursa implied that.
Making it out of the hallway and unto the rear view of the Green House, he wasn't thinking he let his legs move him. Further and faster towards his lover as the rain battered him.
Getting to the gravel path which led to the Blazing Keep, the view in front of him made him stop in his tracks. Half of the Keep had already collapsed, thanks to the boulders that were projected by the earth Dakyres. But the chamber rooms still stood, so did his hope.
Panting heavily, sweat streaming down from his forehead and all over his face, soaking into his night shirt which was already drenched by the rain and his shoes filled with water from running into wherever at all, he was filled with the will to protect. Always protect. Making to start running again he was stopped by a hand which gripped his shoulder so tightly, turning him around.
"Faldrey we need to leave, now!" There stood Ursa, looking more stressed than Faldrey himself.
"Ursa! But you said we've five days!" Faldrey fought under his grip to free himself.
