FALDREY & EREN
Faldrey laid on the floor, jerking and gurgling on his own blood while gasping for air.
The sight was of Faldrey bleeding and writhing on the floor and a frozen Tonshire standing over him clutching his spear, which was soaked in Faldrey's blood. The thick, red, slimy liquid trickling down from the end of the blade.
"Wha-what did you just do, Faldrey?" Tonshire shuddered, his hands gripping the wooden body of the spear so tightly, making his knuckles turn white.
Eren looked up from Faldrey's blood soaked body to the boy who still held the spear in his trembling hands.
"I-I was going for the young Tal Dane a-and you g-go-got in the w-way," the boy was terrified by what he had just done, he couldn't get a word out without a stutter.
Eren felt rage like no other burn bright and true inside him, he reached deep into the depths of his power, the sight of the boy still holding the spear fuelled this uproar welling up inside him.
The air in the room shifted and all of a sudden it felt like the sun had joined them in the tunnel, the torches had begun to burn out of proportion. The flames had gone on a rampage and Eren was next.
Ursa looked at Eren standing beside him and he knew better than to touch him, let alone try to stop him as he took the first step towards Tonshire. Eren's iris glowed a bright green, not the usual yellow that was the colour of his flame. Ursa took a few steps back when he noticed what had come over the boy. He had lived for over a hundred years and not once had he seen a fire Dakyre with green, burning in his eyes.
Eren had tapped right into the source of his power, he tapped into the fiery passionate love he had for Faldrey, the reincarnation of his beloved. Standing right in the middle of ancient walls of the Ao Dakyres helped grant him access to his untapped powers.
He took the next step towards the boy who was now swaying backwards spastically, the hands clutching the spear trembled even more when they met the grim glow in Eren's eyes.
Eren's eyebrows were furrowed in concentration, he knew his rage was taking over him and he let it. What more was left to lose?
Taking more frequent strides towards the boy who was almost running backwards now.
"Stop! Stay away from me you Hellbringer!" Tonshire cried out in terror, tears trailing down his eyes. "I swear on my mother's grave—wherever it is—I will stab you too!" His voice was shaky and his words were interrupted by sobs.
Eren kept walking closer, his green eyes locked on his target.
When he'd almost reached the end of the spear which still had Faldrey's blood trickling down its bloodthirsty blades, Tonshire lunged with the spear, going to drive it into the nightmare that approached him; a distraught Eren.
Eren kept walking, unaffected by the fact that the boy was daring to stab him. He just kept walking, his eyes fixed on his goal. Before the blade of the spear could pierce the first layer of his skin, it turned into molten iron in an instant under the aura of heat that surrounded him.
The thick, liquid iron falling to the floor with a squelch sound. The wooden part of the spear which was directly connected to the blade lighted up like a torch. Only this time it wasn't a regular torch, the flame was green and true.
Dropping the now useless wood to the stone floor, the boy stared at the flaming incarnation of death which approached him. Taking a few more steps backwards, Tonshire spun around and made to run. But before he could complete two fast steps, Eren threw out his left hand and in an instant—without needing time to build—a firewall of green flames shot out from the floor and made it all the way to the stone ceilings of the tunnel, burning from stone wall to stone wall leaving no space to escape. The boy was completely locked in, far from the other warriors who were still under the effect of Ursa's coaxing poem.
