The Trip from Hell
"Gwen pleaseeeee!" Gavin begged, putting his hands together.
He had been following me around for hours now. He wanted me to come with him to see Lacey because of some genius plan he apparently thought of. It was simply, we go there, I pretend she's amazing and nice and great! Then we all live happily ever after. I reminded him, he was ruining my life for a stupid movie, making me trek all over the world for some annoying girl. He told me I was the drama queen.
"No!" I turned quickly locking myself in the bathroom. I needed space. He was beginning to get on my last nerve. Why would I help him get back a girl when I didn't like him whatsoever AND he didn't even seem to like her?
"Please Gweny!" He said sitting in a slump outside my bathroom. He could be so persistent. I heard him dramatically sigh.
"What's it going to take for you to LEAVE ME ALONE!" I yelled, brushing my hair annoyed. He drove me absolutely mad at times.
"A yes" he said calmly, clearly still immediately outside my door. I walked out of the bathroom, checking Gavin with my shoulder and walking past my mom who was dusting some of the pictures hanging in a sitting room.
"You know he's not going to stop until you give in honey" she said thoughtfully. "He's always been so stubborn, almost as much as you!" Leave it to mom to add in a snub on me.
"Fine whatever! Leave me alone" I said desperate for my own air and space. I was suffocating.
He hugged me, tackling me to the floor. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! Alright let's discuss what's going down" he dragged me into the lounge and sat me down across from him. I lifted an eyebrow. Maybe he did like her? Why would he go to such great lengths to impress her? Why did I care?
"No..." I wailed. "I thought by saying yes that meant I could go back to like BEING ALONE. It's the one day I have off I wanna spend it with Netflix or the horses. I already spend all my other time with you" I said annoyed. I crossed my arms.
"Okay, so your going to tell her it was a practical joke because your my best friend and you were testing her" he said grinning.
"Are you insane? You actually think she will believe that" I said raising my eyebrows at him. He looked so cute and hopeful. He nodded twice. "Ugh... When are we meeting her?" I paused and added "and I'm not your best friend. Real friends don't do this to each other" I said sharply gesturing between us. This was exactly what I didn't want to do. Meet some dumb girl, and explain to her she had claims on my 'best friend'? Okay, I didn't exactly know her and there was a possibility she was very nice but I had seen her in action and that was really all the evidence I needed.
"Well the plane leaves tomorrow, I had limited time to convince" Gavin said clapping his hands together with enthusiasm. He looked thrilled but then again he was about to get his ego stroked, going to go see a girl and bringing with a side chick. I stared at the ceiling, yup, that is definitely what I was to him. He would have never done this before he was famous.
"Where are we going?" I said hoping it would be quick. He was such an asshat.
"Paris of course! She French." he said with a wicked smile. I rolled my eyes and made the throwing up hand gesture.
"Fine, I'll start packing. You better start dreaming up some serious ways to kiss my ass" I said as I walked out. Ugh this was dumb, I didn't really want to hear of her ever again and I REALLY didn't want to meet her. Why did I agree to him? Probably because his stupid cute eyes or his stupid cute face, or maybe because I was just stupid.
