Ex-BFFs with the famous Gavin Ryton.
Chapter 24
"Gavy!" I said as I was in mid run. Well it probably looked like a looser run because my ankle wasn't completely healed and I was wearing an ankle brace. When I got to him I jumped on him wrapping my arms and legs around him like I hadn't seen him in years. He responded by wrapping his arms around me and kissing my forehead.
"Let’s go! I want to see the Great Barrier Reef!" I exclaimed pressing my forehead to his looking him straight in his perfect green eyes.
"About that..." he said quietly looking downward. “Well talk in the car. Jeff's driving us in the limo" he said somehow managing to flip me so he was giving me a piggy back ride. I bit my lip wondering what the heck was up!
When we got to the waiting room I needed to sign some release forms so I had to jump off Gavin's back. Then we walked out to the limo waiting patiently in the from drive for us hand in hand.
Once in the limo he looked at me with an apologetic gaze. "Gwen... Um. There's kind of going to be a huge storm tonight when we were supposed to take off so we got delayed until tomorrow. Sorry!" he said looking genuinely upset.
"That’s fine. I'm glad to just go back and chill for the night, maybe watch the storm come in. I'm just glad to be free!" I joked.
"Okay well as long as you’re okay with it I mean I suppose I could maybe fire up the hot tub and we could watch from there. That is if you’re even up for that?" he laughed.
"Gavin, I'm always up for seeing you minus your shirt! Now do you have the key because I know I don’t?" I said as we pulled up to the house.
He laughed at me getting out and walking around to open my door. I smiled at him taking the hand he offered to me. He shut the door and I found myself falling car towards the limo. But it was an illusion I was being pushed towards it by Gavin. He had a crooked smile on his face. When my back was pushed against the limo Gavin leaned in closing his eyes and pressing his body to mine.
I wrapped my hands around his neck and kissed him carefully. I was only a quite peck but it was sweet and it showed how much Gavin truly cared about me. He then pulled me off the car and led me towards the door waving as the limo driver pulled out.
The house looked just how we left it and our suitcases lay near the door. "Your mom and dad left then here when they picked up the stuff up from the accident site" he said gesturing to it.
I sat down on the couch staring at it. "Did they ever found out who hit us?" I asked.
"Drunk driver, he's been jailed and fined" Gavin explained. "But on a happier note! Check out the sky Gwen" Gavin said expertly changing the subject to something much better.
I rotated myself on the couch to check outside. I smiled as I glanced at the advancing line of dark skies. "I think I'm going to go change" I said as I got up.
"Me too!" Gavin replied quickly hopping up off the couch. "Meet you out there!" he said over his shoulder as he ran out of the room.
Okay? Excited much I thought to myself as I slowly and painfully got up to walk upstairs. Every step I took up the stairs ached. Stupid ankle I muttered under my breath.
I turned into my room and began rummaging through my bathing suit draw looking for a match. Finally I found a suit I wanted to wear. It was a plum color with little silver beads and sparkles on it making a twisting pattern. I brushed out my hair and let it go natural. Next opened the door to the balcony and got in the hot tub to wait for Gavin.
