Chapter 8
Score two for Gweny.
When I woke up Gavin was gone. I rolled and looked around the room. He walked out of the bathroom his hair still wet from the shower. As he walked by he smirked and flipped it in my face like a wet dog.
"Showers open!" he said grabbing some things from his bag. "Unless you want to stay here and watch me change?" he asked laughing and slowly dropping his towel.
"Gavin! Clothes stay on!" then I rushed to the bathroom, somewhat wondering what would have happened if I hadn't.
After packing up and getting ready we went shopping with Lacey for a few hours. She tried on everything under then sun, while Gavin and I watched, approving of everything. Toward the end of our shopping trip I saw an absolutely perfect dress sitting on a rack. It was shades of black, blue and green sequins covering the skirt and the chest portion. The low back and sides of the dress were a thin mesh. I paused at the window and Lacey seemed to have the same thought.
"Were still going out tonight?" I asked.
"Why wouldn't we?" Countered Lacey. "I need that dress!" She said eying it up.
"French boys like revealing?" I asked her raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah probably, are you trying it on too? Don't you think it would look better on someone a little curvier?" She asked looking over me and smiling sickeningly sweet.
"I think I'll give it a whirl, too cute not to, am I right?" I said smiling back in the same sweet manor. Gavin looked anxious.
The dress fit me like a glove. Lacey threw a fit because it wouldn't zip over her boobs. She demanded the store be more conscious of women with curvier bodies and continued harassing the sales person while I checked out. Suddenly, I was feeling much more confident.
We finished up the day by grabbing dinner with Lacey and then returning to our hotel room with the days purchases. Gavin had been particularly quiet today which was odd for him.
I hung up my dress and folded the other things I had purchased."Gavin?" I asked turning to face him. "You feeling okay?" I said sitting down next to him.
"Yes, I'm a little worried about you though. You've never been out to these places, stay close to us tonight" he said seriously.
"That's what you're freaking out over? That I wanted to come out with you?" I said raising and eyebrow.
"Yes! This is a different country and you need to be careful! You don't know your way around the city" he repeated his story, modifying the words.
"Okay fine I'll be careful" I said pulling the dress off the hanger and disappearing into the bathroom to get dressed and do my hair. I pulled the dress on and put on black heels which had ankle detailing and a strap across the toe. I applied a silver sparkly look to my eyes and deep purple, almost maroon lipstick. I slicked my hair into a high pony and straightened it. Finally, I was ready I just needed help with zipping the last part of my dress.
I stepped out of the bathroom and Gavin looked up from his phone to give me a small smile. "You look... nice" he said clenching his jaw.
"Thank you" I responded turning. "Would you help me with my zipper?" I asked standing in front of him.
"Of course" he choked out pulling the zipper gently and clasping the back. I swallowed not realizing how fast my heart was beating while his hand was on the small of my back as he zipped. Immediately I thought of other places his hands had been and I blushed. He was still standing incredibly close. Why did he look delicious? He was wearing a pair of dark jeans and a maroon colored shirt which hugged his arms and chest perfectly.
