Trenton POV

After closing the shop early, I went straight to the center. I park the car and walk inside to see them serving food.

"Sorry i'm late."i say as I walk up to my mom and kiss her cheek.

"It's okay."she says.

I put on gloves and pass plates out to everyone with a smile.

I love how my mother is always giving back to her community.

We were done serving food and now cleaning up.

A girl walk up to us.

"Now I remember you. My name is Veronica and I am a friend of Sabrina. She tells me all about you guys and shows me pictures. She says that you all changed her life."she says and we smile.

"She changed our lives as well."my mama says and Ryan agrees.

"How did you meet Sabrina?"I ask.

"We met at the shelters."she says and I become confused.

"The shelters? She used to help at the shelters?"i ask.

"No she was living in them because she was homeless."she says and I really become confuse.

"She wasn't homeless. Sabrina would've told me that. Right?"i say.

"I'm so sorry."the lady says and leave.

I turn to my mama and Ryan. It was all over their face.

"You two didn't tell me?"i ask them.

"She didn't want us to."Ryan says.

"It was her secret to tell."my mama says.

"I have to go pick up Layla. I'll call you both when I get home."i say and leave.

Sabrina POV

After a long day, a hot shower was well needed. I was done when I heard someone banging on the door. I quickly cut off the water and put on my silk robe. I ran to the door and open it. I was shocked to see Trenton standing at the door.

I immediately became worried.

"Can I come in?"He ask.

He was staring at my body which made me nervous. I saw him bite down on his lip but he clearly snapped out of it.

"Yeah."i say while letting him in.

I'm pretty sure he knew Ryan wasn't here so I don't understand what he's doing here. I just hope he isn't here to fire me because I love my job.

"Are you firing me?"i ask looking away from him.

"No i'm not firing you. Why would you think that?"he ask and I shrug my shoulders.

"I always think about the worst scenario. I told you when I finally become happy, something goes wrong."i say.

"You think I would try to take that away from you? You should know be better than that Bri."he says and I sigh.

"I know and i'm sorry."i say.

"I came here because I needed to talk to you."he says and I bit my bottom lip.

"About what? What's going on? Is Mama, Ry, and Layla okay?"i ask and my heart began racing fast.

"They're okay Bri."he says in a sad voice.

"Are you okay?"i ask quickly examining his body with my hands.

He grab my hands and I look at him to see sadness in his eyes.
