Sabrina POV

I was at the center to pick Layla up from Ballet classes. I offered to come get her alone because we have a play date at the ice cream shop and park. She runs up to me with tears falling down her face. I grab her bag and frown.

"Layla what's wrong?"i ask.

"Can we please leave Bri?"She ask and I nod. 

"I know just the thing to cheer you up."i say and she grabs my hand as we walk up to my Uber.

I help her get into the car and I got in. We went to the nearest ice cream shop while I was figuring out what's wrong with her.

We were both sitting at a table. She was playing around with her ice cream and that was very strange.

"I want you to tell me what's wrong kiddo."i say and she began frowning.

"Some of the girls are making fun of me."she says.

"Why? What are they saying?"i ask becoming angry.

I don't play about her. She's the sweetest kid ever so I don't understand.

"They are making fun of me because I don't have a mommy."she says and my heart broke.

"Come here Lay."i say and she does.

I pick her up and wrap my arms around her.

She lays her head on my shoulder.

"I haven't always been truthful to you because I thought you were too young. You have proven to me that you're a big girl now. I was homeless before I met your family."i say.

"What does that mean?"she ask.

"It means that I didn't have a home. Now I wasn't always homeless and I did have a family. My mother died and I had no one to be there for me. I had to deal with so many things at a young age. My only regret was not telling anybody what I went through. I thought my life was over but now i'm going to be okay. Do you know why?"i say.

"No."she says.

"I'm going to be okay because I have your auntie Ryan, your daddy, your uncle Jayce, your GG, and I got you Layla. You're my family now and nobody can take that from me."i say.

"Okay."she says

"Not many little girls can survive the loss of their mother but you did. Do you know why?"i say.

"Why?"She ask.

"Because you have the best daddy in the world. Your daddy loves you so much and he tries his very best by you. You should never let a bully try to break you down because you can't be broken. All you can ever do is show them who you really are. Let them know that the words they say doesn't bother you. You are a fierce and brave girl. You're stronger than them so next time kill them with kindness."i say and she smile.
