"Sometimes, all you need is for someone to be there. Even if they can't fix you, or your problems. Just knowing there is someone who cares makes all the difference."

- Unknown.

Ricky's POV

"N-Nini?" I blink multiple times in disbelief, wondering if she's actually right in front of me.

"Um, I'm sorry, this was a mistake. I shouldn't have come here," she says, looking at me, then y/n. Oh, crap. This looks really, really bad.
"Nini, I can explain-"

"It's fine, Ricky. I get it. I need to go over to EJ's place anyway," she says, and my heart breaks at the mention of his name. She's not yours anymore, get over it.

"Nini, it's really nothing. We were just working on our callback," y/n says. I'm kind of shocked she stepped in to begin with, especially after our talk about moving on.

"Really. It's okay. I can't even remember why I came here in the first place," she says, forcing a smile. I contemplate whether or not to call her out on the lie, but decide against it. There's no use. I'd never get the truth out of her, especially with y/n around.

"Okay. If you end up remembering, just let me know," I sigh, running my hands through my hair.

"Uh, yeah. Will do," she says, biting her lip—which I find adorable. She looks at me once again before making her way across the street. I close the door behind her, and let out a shaky breath.

"Are you okay?" y/n asks, putting her hand on my shoulder.

"Not really," I reply, shaking my head. She then pulls me into a hug, and I let her. We may have only known each other for a week, but I've found a sense of comfort in her that normally takes a while to do. It's weird, but good weird.

"You know what we need?" she asks, pulling away.

"Food," we both say in unison, and laugh. Great minds think alike, I guess.

"Oh! You know what we should do? Order take out and finish the rest of our high school musical marathon! It'll be fun, and it'll help take our minds off everything going on," she suggests.

"That actually sounds amazing," I say, surprising myself. I never would've thought I'd be looking forward to watching a musical. Ever. Like, if you told me a couple weeks ago that I would willingly agree to a high school musical movie marathon, I would never believe it.

"Great! Is Chinese food good with you?"

"Yeah, that sounds good," I smile.

"Perfect! I'll call right now. It's on me," she says, smiling back, and I'm suddenly really happy she's here with me. She's making me feel much better, and I could not be more grateful.
