Married?! I'm going to get married to Lawson!? No way in hell am I marrying this early! Especially to a Lawson! Oh hell hell hell no!

I guess my refusal was so evident on my face that the Lawsons, parents and son, looked at me with different expressions.

One was amused.

One sympathetic.

And the other, blank.

Come on, take a guess on which one Lawson -- the mini one, I mean the son --  had.

I'm sure you guys will get this one right.

I slowly backed up the couch and knocked over some pillows. My palms were sweaty and I was sure I looked like I was hyperventilating in front of them. My breaths were becoming heavy. Quite frankly, I wasn't but if hyperventilating would get me away from this family then I would be glad to take it on.

"Dear, are you okay? You look pale." Of course I'm pale! I've just been told that I was to marry someone just now!? Why wouldn't that drain the blood from my body. And yes I am speaking metaphorically.

"It's fine." I gently swapped away Mrs. Lawson's hand that was about to touch my face. I know she means well but it was uncomfortable for me that she was freely touching me with her delicate hands. She went back to her seat, beside her husband. I hope she didn't hate me doing that.

"I'm sorry. I refuse.." I started.

"I'm NOT going to marry your son." I semi-shouted.  I was getting cold feet just by thinking of marrying him. For sure I would freeze if this happened.

"May we ask why?" This time his father was the one who spoke up. He was quiet a while back. Only letting his wife talk. "Is there something wrong with him?"

Well apart from being blessed by the heavens, physically and financially, his ability to show as much emotion as a rock is quite something. But other than that, nothing.

"He's a handsome and all but I am not going to marry someone I just met." Was what I said instead. I was still nice since the people in front of me are his parents.  And I am also not a disney prisney! I would never see myself marrying someone I just met. There's nothing wrong with that though, I just don't believe in love at first sight.

It was a rare oppurtunity to be wed to a multi-billion heir with extraordinary looks. Yes I admit that much. But just because he stole my first kiss, I'll allow him to monopolize every other first +-- especially my wedding.

"But dear, you can't say no." Mrs. Lawson told me. Her pretty mint green dress fell into place when she stood up. I thought she was going to reprimand me because I said no. I think I would to if someone, who is a petty commoner, denied my son who is as gorgeous as me.

That's a direct blow to ego. But she didn't.

She was looking so sweetly that it guilt me. She really knew how to work her charms. Don't get sucked in Aveline! Or else you won't get out of here single!

She was seated, looking out the window, her sweet brown eyes carefully looking at something. She looked as if she was trying to think of something so deep. She looked beautiful.

She walked towards me, taking  gentle steps. "May I sit?" She asked.

I nodded.

She fixed her sitting posture and turned to me, the two Lawson men just a few meters away.
